Hey All,

You may recall my previous posted asking when Expedia (UK) would release their Winter pricing for the DLRP branded hotels. (See -> http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1524032&referrerid=&highlight=Expedia )

Well I contacted Expedia who assure me that the pricing is already available and bookable via their website......yet having checked on several machines, and 3 differnet ISP connections I still don't see any availablity/pricing past November 8th 2007. Whilst I've replied to Expedia stating that the availablity/pricing ISN'T available via their website - they keep assuring me it is - not happily that each time someone new replies. I've also called them....but basically the same.

I've even checked the UK, US, France and German versions of the Expedia site.

So I appeal to my fellow DIS DLRP members - any chance some of you would be willing to email Expedia to tell them that you are looking for availablity/pricing for the Disney owned hotels past November (8th) 2007 and that this don't appear to be available.

The contact address is: self-service@support.expedia.co.uk

I'm hoping that if they find a 'flood' of these requests that may look into it a tad harder than if they just have one request.

Incidently, my interest in Expedia is that I'm looking for room-only pricing. I don't have an AP at the moment, mine expired back in June.

Thanks for your help.

Iain

I have just sent an e-mail Iain :thumbsup2 Will let you the outcome!

I have emailed them too, enquiring about next March, as I would lke to know the answer for then :thumbsup2

This is very strange :confused3 hope they get the prices up for you soon.

I just received the following useless response from Expedia:

Thank you for contacting Expedia.co.uk regarding prices on a trip to Disneyland Paris.

We are unable to provide prices or availability via e-mail, as they may be invalid and/or have changed by the time you access the website.

Please use the website tools provided, as this will allow you to choose a variety of options to suit your needs.
Also, may I suggest trying the 'deals' tab from the main homepage. If you would like some ideas on where you can go, please use the Inspirator, which is a new tool to navigate around the best deals on the web site. You will need to create an account in order to be able to book anything, but you can paste the link below into your browser to access the Inspirator:

http://www.expedia.co.uk/daily/places/default.asp?rfrr=-16930

Alternatively you may call our help line and book over the phone. We're available from 0800 - 2200 Monday to Friday, and 0900 - 2200 at weekends. Call us on 0871 226 0808 (Calls charged at 10 pence per minute BT rate. Charges may vary from other networks.) or from outside the UK on +44 2890 166376 (usual costs apply).

Please note that there is an administration fee of £10 per person for all flight only bookings made over the telephone. This charge does not apply to bookings made by yourself on the internet, or to telephone bookings for flights and hotel/car hire packages.

Yours sincerely

I think they totally misunderstood my question, and I have sent a snotty reply back saying so!

Yep...stock answer had that one back a couple of times.

If you are really lucky you'll get a reply from someone that seems interested at Expedia - only to reply to them, and get someone else to reply again with another 'stock' template reply.

Thanks for trying anyhow.

I got he same standard reply as well -sorry

How on earth did they get their reputation?

Not as a result of their customer service, that's for sure :lmao:

Just got this response from Expedia:

Thank you for contacting Expedia.co.uk regarding the availability of
making reservations far in advance.

Expedia.co.uk uses the same worldwide reservations system used by the
airlines and travel agents around the world. This system permits
reservations for travel within 330 days.

Unfortunately the hotels need to finish the current season before they
will release rooms for the new season. We would advise that you keep
checking the website for availability.

Thank you for using Expedia.co.uk.

Yours sincerely

Ben

Looks like I just have to keep checking or go ahead and book with Disneyland direct and forget about getting AP passes. There is good deal at moment to book april 08 at winter prices if booked before 31 October.

Well that's a little more informative than the second reply I received!

===========================

Thank you for your recent e-mail.

We are in receipt of your email request however are unable to answer you at present.

Yours sincerely

To All - Thank you for your help on this one.

pyebibby - I've also had a version of that same email back. Based on that logic November won't be bookable until...November.

doe3001 - Well can I just say Microsoft - in there early days the biggest shareholder was Microsoft - and just look what it's Marketing machine can do.

Hmmmmm... I got no answer yet, but I now know what to expect.

Well, I still guess, the room-only rates are released pretty late by Disney, and that is why no agency can book them. Packages of course can be done very much in advance. Room-only can't.

Did you ring Disney to ask them for the availability of room-only prices at the CRO? Maybe they also yet don't have them ;)
