:hyper:Expectations vrs reality experiences::sad:

Last trip we rode IASW for the first time since i was 7, I wanted to do it over and over. That was my expectation in 2013. Not the reality! My Family came out laughing hysterically that it had been my favourite lol and refused to ever go on it again. They spent the next year singing IASW to annoy me. :sad1:

This trip we are hoping to try the JTA, sign up at rope drop, hope to get signed for the 6:20 show. Go about the rest of the day. Eat at Hollywood and Vine, (fantasmic) be done in time to sign in on time and my son goes on stage and does not freak out, has an amazing time then continue to carry on with our day....will reality match? that remains to seen.

I am sure there are some great stories out there that would loved to be shared...

I have a similar experience but with Jungle Cruise. Went on and on to my kids about how much they are going to love this ride and yes, I was ridiculed like no other. Aw, those kids...too cool for school. :rolleyes:

Actually we like It's a Small World but then our expectations were never high.

I felt let down over Toy Story Midway Mania. It's an OK ride but all of the fuss seemed way out of proportion. So far no one has teased me because of this. ;)

When we were little, my Mom went nuts over Pooh in the parade. My sister and I were mortified and were giving her a hard time about it. My Dad just looked at us and told us to shut it up and to let her have a good time :) Same for IASW. We just couldn't understand what the deal was. At 9 and 11 we thought it was for babies. Yea, I stopped ribbing her when I went to Disneyland with my girls in 2002. I don't know what it is about that ride but I LOVE it!

Mine was the Dis. Jr. Dance Party during EMH at HS. I thought for sure my dd would LOVE it, I thought it would be the highlight of our week, purposely went against easywdw's recommendations to do that park on an evening EMH day just for this party.

Well first I got the time wrong, not sure how I did it but whatever times I looked at online were an hour off. So we showed up at what I thought was the start of the party only to find out that we had to wait a whole other hour. After waiting that long dd was sooo tired, and when we went in the room the music was so LOUD. I can't begin to describe just how horribly loud it was. Not sure if something was different that night or if they always do that, but even the 5 year old said it hurt her ears too much and wanted to leave.

I planned the whole day around it and we ended up staying less than 5 minutes :(
