Expectation on wait time for SDD after AP EMH

Hi Everyone

We will be at HS on Saturday, September 15th which is one of the days that AP holders will have early access hours. We are not a part of that and I know we will get to the park when it opens but with three young ones will not be there an hour and a half before it opens. Now that it is a little out of season, can anyone provide some input on expectations for the SDD line?

It likely will still be busy, so I would expect waits to be at least 60 minutes if not more. I just don't know how the AP special event will go.

If it is the same as the first day the AP event will not have any affect on RD.

While I agree with that, what I would keep in mind is that the first day was a Tuesday, the day after Labor Day. Saturdays were gone first when the event opened so I would expect it to be busier. But from what has been reported the crowd level appears to be low enough that although it will have some effect, it will hopefully be very minimal.

Rain ( or at lest light rain ) yes thunder no

We saw minimal increase but it will probably be around 60 minutes at park opening. We were there on Sunday and at 630 it was 110 minutes. At 830 when we walked by it was still out the que and part way over the bridge. Earlier we saw a cast member standing at the end of the bridge with a 120 minute wait from here sign.....

In August, we entered DHS at little after 8 am on a 7 am EMH day. Standby for SDD was 40 minutes by the time we got back to TSL.
