My DD and SIL are coming with us to wdw 12/26-12/30. They love all things Disney as much as we do.

This past Sunday she informed us that she is expecting her first!

The wonderful news notwithstanding, is now factored with our trip. (She's due in June).

The only ride she truly cared about was Soarin'.

We have been on it before and think it is wonderful. And now we are trying to remember if it was one of those rides that warns expectant mothers about not using it.

Hope someone says NO!

I think on another board this question came up and someone said it is OK for expecting moms. I sure hope so because I really want to ride it again in Nov!!!
Congrats on the baby news!! :thumbsup2

I don't think there is a warning. I hope to be pregnant by Jan and will ride it. It doesn't really go anywhere and there are no sudden movements.

I rode Soarin' very newly pregnant and experienced no side effects! Tell her to relax and enjoy the ride!!

All it does is go up gently, you watch the film, and go down gently. I can't imagine why it would be a problem, unless you were just stressed out by heights. Congrats!

I don't recall if there are any posted warnings or not, but my wife rode Soarin in February and our son was born on June 1st. She had absolutely no problems riding this ride.

It is such a smooth ride that I can't imagine it causing any problems.

It's more gentle than your average car ride.

Especially that early, I can't imagine she'd have a problem.

Of course, you shouldn't take medical advice from a message board...but I honestly think the drop in Pirates is "worse".

I would have gone on it in early pregnancy with no reservations. It is not jerky at all and she's not going to fall out. :) Unless she is already fearful of heights, she should be fine!

If you want to check what Disney's official warnings are, you can check on the Disney website. According to that, Soarin' doesn't have any warnings for pregnancy.

its really gentle, just don't go on it if you are waiting for your water to break, cause it could be quiet gross for the ppl under you if it did... LOL :rotfl2:

DW has been on it while pregnant and had no ill effects from it. In fact she wanted to go on it again immediately afterwards.

I rode it at 5 months pregnant last December. And I am the cautious type... Soarin' is very smooth.

And, although it is labeled a 'ride', in reality, it really isn't. As was said, you sit down, buckle in, are lifted up in the air, watch a (great!) movie & then are gently let back down. There is nothing jerky, bumpy or erratic about Soarin'. I wouldn't have any problem 'riding' it if I were pregnant (again  ). Enjoy!! It's one of my favorites now.

the unofficial guide says that expectant mothers "shouldn't" ride Soarin. I was soo surprised by this (its in the 2007) since it does seem like a calm ride. i will be 6 mths pregnant when we go to disney and soarin was the one ride i couldn't wait to go on. i think based on others' comments, i will give it a try!

good luck.
