Exiting thru a parade??? Help!

i realized I have to get to the exit right after our Bog lunch to make it to my dds BBB appointment at Disney springs on time. The problem is it's right during a parade! How am I going to do this??? Thanks for any advice!

If crossing the parade route is not an option (there are crossing locations, but those are only dependable if there is no parade going by that section), and you cannot walk through the castle

Then you'd walk through Tomorrowland (walk by Teacups, Buzz, Monsters Inc) and towards the Plaza. You will then either be lucky and see that the path behind Main St is open (before the Plaza)
Or you will be able to slowly make it through Main St infront of the shops.

The path pp is referring to is the new bypass of Main Street put in for specifically this purpose. It's between tommorow land terrace and the plaza restaurant and let's you out by Tony's. It "should" be open.

How do you know that your exit will be during the parade?
What time do you figure that you'll be exiting?

or walk through the shops on the Emporium side of the street, they all connect inside. When you get to the end there will be CMs and a path to cross unless the parade is right there at that time.

The CM are rather militant at keeping a walking path open on the sidewalk between the shop buildings and the tape for parade watchers. You can make your way easily down Main St. using that (if the bypass is not open)
If you know you are exiting during the parade time I would just go ahead and walk through Tomorrow Land so you can go up that side of the street. You won't have any issues with needing to cross the parade from that side and you won't have to hope for a break in the parade and a CM to let you go by

Agreed - we were there 10/22 to 10/26, went by this area several times, and each time there was a sign up saying "Cast Members Only". We had no trouble getting down Main Street along the shop walls (or actually inside the shops if we were on the Emporium side)

The problem with the Emporium side ... Is when you need to cross an active parade to get to that side of the park.
If you are leaving from POTC or Crystal Palace, walking tgrough the Emporium is usually a great way to avoid a crowded Main St.

When are the BOG lunch times and the BBB at Disney Springs times?
The 3 pm parade can be 20 minutes later depending if you are at the start or end of the route. You may be able to avoid it one way or the other, depending on exact time.
Robo knows what he's talking about.

also there have been times ( not many) where they will start the parade early or late last time I was there it started about 5 minutes early so they could bet the rain storm coming.
I think the best bet for the OP is just walk as quickly as they can through tomorrow land and if the by pass is open use that if not go down main street

I do not know the exact time it depends how long lunch is however we have a 2:15 res. we will leave the park right after

With a 2:15 lunch, you could very well be ahead of the parade...or not. When do you need to get to DS and the BBB?

What I would do is just stick to the east side of the Hub and Main Street. You will have to go around the castle. The CM's will create a walking path behind the viewing crowd. You will be able to walk down the East side (the right side when you enter the park and are facing the front of the castle). The Parade will not cut off that side's exit, so even if it's going on, you should be okay. The Parade doesn't even really arrive at the Hub until about 3:15 so you should have time.

Quite simply...when you leave BoG, just head for TomorrowLand. Walk out with Stitch on your right, when you get to the end of the buildings, go left...inbetween the bldg and some 'rocks'. walk up to the top, go right, and down towards Main St. When you get past the Bakery, head into the shops..you can just walk through them, and then exit the park.
My dd, when she was 13, had the same thing happen to her.....but, she got herself and her friend out of the park to meet up with us, only about 3 mins late!!!
If the parade has started, that's the easiest thing to do. You could try walking out past Cosmic Rays (on the left), but it's sure to be really jammed up there.
