At what age do you have to be to sit in the exit row?

How does it work? Can DH or I sit by the exit then have DD and DS sit next to us or do we all have to be a certain age?

Anyone know?

ANYONE seated in an exit row must be minimum age 16, understand and able to communicate in English, physically fit to open the door and assist other passengers, and be willing to assist the FA's and able to undertand their instructions.

In addition to seeing families with children moved from that row, I've also seen non English speaking passengers, and a "little old lady" relocated as well.

Everyone in the row has to be at least (15? 16?, sorry don't remember exactly). Our FAs on our JetBlue flight last month had to do some 'creative re-seating' because somehow an 11 year old had been seated in the exit row.

Thanks!

I always just thought that the one closest to the door had to be a certain age, I didn't realize the entire row had to be . . .

Good to know . . .now I'll be able to book my seats accordingly.
