 Hi everyone! I am a bit surprised that this thread wasn't started yet today. I didn't go to the gym today, no time really, but DS and I did go for a 45 minute walk. Well actually I walked and he rode his scooter. Who's next?

I did my usual 45 minute hike/walk, but for some reason, I had NEGATIVE energy today. So on one of the bigger hills, I went the less steep route, and still had trouble.

I'm not sure what my legs are trying to say, but MAN, it took all I had to get through that, and normally I'm raring to go for more at the end!

It's nice to see another Navy wife on board! Sorry to hear your walk was such a struggle today, I know I have days like that too. But on the bright side you completed your walk. Since you usually walk, I have a question, how far do you usually walk in 45 minutes? Today was the first time in a long time that I walked outside for 45 minutes, I am usually in the gym and when I looked at my pedometer it didn't say I went too far so I was wondering what the normal was for 45 minutes.

It IS nice to see another Navy wife!! :)

I am finishing up a couple of months of living with my parents (DH is on a precom, and was doing sailaround, and I didn't feel like living where we were any longer!), and they live on top of a mountain in Chattanooga. That's why I really call it a walk/hike, because there are some STEEP hills! So I don't know if that skews anything.

We clocked it in the car, and it's just at 3 miles. Sometimes I can do it in 45 minutes, usually takes closer to an hour. I run/jog on the downhills a lot. (I think it took 45 minutes today because #1, I didn't go the steep way on one of the hills, and #2, I was just DYING to get into a hot bath!)

That's about a 15-20 minute mile, but keep in mind that I do have spurts of running/jogging in there too.

HTH!

took 45min walk outside this morn before taking DS to the farm for a few hrs
will hopefully get back out for another 1/2hr as soon as I get off here

DH and I took a bike ride this morning, 21.77 miles with an average speed of 12.7 mph.

I did my Pilates tape this morning and the Upper Body section of the FIRM Super Body Sculpt.

Cheryl:sunny:

I did FIRM Super Cardio Sculpt and walked 5,800 steps or about 2-1/2 miles today! :) Who's next?

Just a 1/2 hour walk to work, but in between nights, I still think that's an accomplisment. *yawn* ;)

Anyone else?

I did something similar years ago when DH was sent to Bahrain, there is no sence staying somewhere that you don't want to live anymore, especially when you are alone. I hope your DH will be home soon!

I think there may be something wrong with my pedometer....I have suspected this for a while. After 45 min of brisk walking yesterday it only registered a mile and a half. I think I will have to take the car and see what it registers. Thanks for the comparison.

I can finally post here. I am now working out nearly everyday.

25 minutes on the treadmill - I do the Interval program. Good Cardio.

Then 3 reps of 10 on the arm/back/ab machines

Today I added the Stairmaster - that should come with a big warning. I lasted 3 minutes.
Well it was 3 minutes more than yesterday - so I am happy. I did 3 minutes at 7.6 flights per minute.

In the morning I did a short arm and ab workout. Then between a couple down pours DH and I walked 3 miles and ran 2 miles (we didn't get to finish our walking and actually ended with a sprint to the car in the pouring rain while the tornado warning sirens were going off!). Total steps for the walk and run = 9,500.

I got in my walk around the neighborhood, a nice half of an hour walk and I go just over a mile and a half

I did 3 miles on the TM while watching a movie.
