If an employee gives you commendable service/info it is pretty easy to turn them in. Guest Services has a form and they ask a few questions. It doesn't take 5 minutes and it feels good.::yes::

Thanks motherfletcher thats good info u are right we should praise in that form as we would be quick enough to complain for bad service I need to remember to do that from now on
:jester:

I have done this before and actually got a letter in the mail thanking me for my kind remarks about certain employees. If you are ever in the Boulagerie (sp?) pastry shop in the studios (right across from Lucy) there are three super nice ladies who work there. Mercedes, who always knows my order before I place it and Celia & Maria. they have worked there since the studios first opened and always have to stop and chat with me & DD. There is also Lucy who works in the big Universal store at the studios and she is the same way. all precious and kindhearted. does anyone know Dick who is an elderly man who works at the turnstiles at the studios? (stamping hands) He always has the biggest smile on his face and always has something nice to say. they deserve to be acknowledged for doing a GREAT job.

We always eat breakfast at the Boulagerie on our USF days and you are right, those ladies are great. And I really love the egg croissant sandwiches they have for breakfast .

Dick was mentioned quite a bit on these boards, since many of us here like him as well. :)

I like Pia at RPR. She was so sweet for my birthday trip, even though I didn't get to meet her in person.

I think lots of employees at Universal deserve recognition. I did tell about one person a while back in a survey, but it didn't help that I didn't know the person's name at the time.

I could say a LOT of good about certain employees....

We were at US last October when my husband became very sick and had to go to the hospital. The emergency medical staff and security guards were perfectly professional. We now wonder how we can complement them in writing. If we just sent a letter to US main address, would it get to the right people? We were so glad the staff were there for us and our kids and we would just like to let someone know! ::yes::

If you can remember any names, then that will help. Even if you just write the letter in general, it will be made available for all members in that department to see.

OK. That is good to know. They certainly deserve the recognition. Sometimes, "thanks" is never enough! ;)

Does anyone know if Riley still works with the make up show? that guy was hilarious! esp when he would make the little baby duck and the old man duck sounds:laughing: but I haven't seen him since they changed the show. Bill is also a funny one. we have to watch that show several times when we are there just to see what they are going to do next.
Linda 2 more days!

Great post Mother! It is so important to recognize good service. Many times, they receive rewards on this and service will only get better if recognized properly!

That's what I've heard too, SpideyHulk. :) Now how to give recognition to a certain seagull.....Made a perfect 10 dive into my bag of popcorn? :p Hmmmmmm!

Many times I've regretted not telling Universal about some generous things various park employees have done for me, or anyone I'm with. So yeah, thanks for the reminder!

I tried to get a form like that from Guest Services once. The guy said he didn't know what I was talking about. Maybe he thought I was going to complain:p

I sent an email to RPR after our last trip. I wrote about the exceptional service Pia gave us at check-in. I wrote the email in response to the follow up email they sent to me after my trip. I never heard anything back, but I do hope they read it and that Pia's supervisors heard about it. She was the best.

It is important to recognize those who give us good service, but often we forget to do this. It's always so much easier to voice complaints for some reason.

The hotels are good (easy) because they email you asking if there was anyone who was outstanding. The ones that are tougher are like the water taxi captains, I've reported to the hotel and later asked the boat captain if anything was said to find that nothing made it back to them.
When I approach the counter at guest services I let them know right off that I received good service and want to "turn them in". I try to do it every trip, especially for some of those thankless jobs like the maids.
I talked to Dick last trip and he was as chipper as ever. One of the old timers at the gate, Con, retired. I would like to know when/if guys like Con or Dick are retiring so I could thank them for their unquestionable loyalty and dedication.
