Excuse me while I flip out.

Thanks all... Michaela is doing better today. She may actually come home this morning. Her arm was broken in several places and she needed surgery to set it, so thats been done.
( She broke the same arm last year when she fell off the monkey bars!) They thought she had broken her pelvis, but that turned out to be ok. As of 2 am, she was clear of any internal injuries, Thank god!!!!

A little side note here. Apparently she had lost her bike for a week, as Dad had caught her with no helmet on. so he took the bike for a week. Yesterday was the first day she had the bike back. And the first thing they said was Thank God she had a helmet on. SOOOO thats going to be a big topic of disscussion in our house today.
Thanks for all the prayers. ::yes::

I am SO glad that your neice is alright!

I just hate reading about things like this. Many years ago I was in a car that hit a child. She ran out from between parked cars - I guess in an attempt to cross a busy street - and right in front of our car. I was in the passenger seat, and although we braked she still was hit hard enough that she hit the windshield right in front of me. She, miraculously, was fine. Very shaken up and I think spent 2 days in the hospital for observation, but I don't recall there being anything broken.

It was days before I could even get in any car without cringing, and even though I wasn't driving when the accident occured I was still reluctant to drive for a while after that.

It's amazing how these things stay with you.

P & PD for your neice (and you!)

Oh my, that is so scary. I'm glad that your neice is going to be ok. :D

Good thoughts and prayers for Michaela's quick recovery!!

I will be praying for your niece. Thank goodness she was wearing her helmet. Hope you are more settled now.

I was hit by a car about 10 years ago and thrown. Sometimes, the initial doctors report is very over cautious. They thought I was really bad, but as it turned out, I had no internal bleeding just a few sprained limbs.

I hope your neice will be the same way. She'll be in my thoughts. I'm very close to MASS General right now as I'm at work.

Please keep us posted.

Glad she is home and doing well.

So happy to hear she will be okay. Thank Goodness for her helmet ::yes:: .

Bless her heart! I'm so glad her injuries were not more serious. I hope her pain is controlled and thank goodness she was wearing a helmet.
