Excursions to Normandy

It's like the time DCL docked in Honolulu on a Sunday when the Polynesian Cultural Center (most popular tourist attraction on Oaho) was closed. I suspect DCL got a better deal on using the port on a Sunday instead of any other day.

About all you can do is plan a day or two on land before/after your cruise. Paris needs at least a couple of days as well as Normandy.
The cruise leaves from Southampton so I think most people are planning to be either in London or Southampton. Not sure France is in the cards for most. I think a few people may do that before. We end in Copenhagen so returning to France isn't the best option from there either.

Fly into paris. couple of days in paris. Travel to normandy (3 hours from paris) spend 2-3 days there. Then catch brittany ferries (about 40 minutes from centre of normandy) to portsmouth/southhampton (less than 5 hour ferry).

note this route could also start in london as its only a 3 hour train drive from paris. Could also skip paris and go straight from london to normandy.

I think most cruisers already have airfare and plans at this point. I know we do and we aren't changing them at this stage. I think we all thought, I guess naively, that we would be able to see Normandy, you know, at our stop in Normandy. We're already booked with activities in England since that's where the cruise starts.
