I'm planning our first trip to Aulani for this December with my DH and 3 year old. I am looking for some ideas for excursions for the 3 of us.

My 3 year old is pretty chill so I'm thinking Byodo-In and the Dole Plantation/train. Would it be totally weird to take a 3 year old to Kualoa movie tour? We might also hit up the Sea Life Park, but living in LA we have aquarium passes so I'm not sure if that's worth the time- it has larger sea animals right? He'd definitely like that.

Any other ideas besides beaches that might be fun for a little one?

Side note: I learned that you can't sign up a three year old online for Aunties Beach House unless the kid is ALREADY three at the time of sign up- even if they will be three by the time you travel.

Side question: DH and I did PCC by ourselves about a decade ago. We didn't love it, but does anyone have experience with kids? I'm willing to try again

At sea life they have the dolphin encounter for ages 3+. Not even sea world is as hands on as this one. At aunties they have the fish are friends where kids can feed fishes. They offer surf lessons for 3+, younger kids ride with an instructor and they film everything with a GoPro. You can't miss Pearl Harbor, even at 3.

Surf lessons for 3+ I assuming swimming is not a pre rec??
I am going to have to look that up for my kids althought not that young my 6 year old is not a swimmer yet so that limits us a bit

We were just there at the end of April with a 1, 3, and 5 year old. It was soooo amazing! There are tonnes of shows, presentations, games, and just neat things to look at. My kids loved it. The only thing I would warn would be their so called "tour of the community". They actually just take you to a Mormon Temple and give you a presentation and take you back. The temple was beautiful, but I was annoyed that it just seemed like we were misinformed about the true nature of the tour. It ate up time that I would have preferred just staying at the centre, or actually touring the community.
