We just booked a Northern Europe cruise for this summer, so I’m pretty far behind in my planning! I have heard that Anastasia Travel is great for St. Petersburg excursions and have booked them. The woman I was working with mentioned that we could also do tours in Helsinki and Stockholm through them. I just can’t find any reviews or experiences in these other countries through this group. It’s fairly expensive compared to other tours I see (but it is private and customizable). Has anyone used this group for tours other than St Petersburg?

We have not gone with them but you can read some reviews here - https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attract...ssia-St_Petersburg_Northwestern_District.html. They only have 103 reviews and are rated at #353 of 543 Tours in St. Petersburg.

We did do a 3 days excursion with TJ Travels (we also got a multi-city discount - went with them in Wundermunde). They were excellent! A highlight was having dinner with a local family at their home. TJ Travel reviews are here -
https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attract...avel-St_Petersburg_Northwestern_District.html. With 2,206 reviews they are rated #2 of 543 Tours in St. Petersburg. (We did the 3 days Highlights with the Faberge Museum - amazing!)

We did DCL excursions in St. Petersburg, Tallinn (marzipan painting), and Helsinki (reindeer!).

Stockholm we did on our own by buying the Stockholm Pass in advance/having it mailed to us: https://www.stockholmpass.com/
We loved doing Stockholm on our own. We were pretty toured out by the last port day and it was great to take as much or as little time as we wanted at various stops. The Stockholm Pass includes 2 out of the 3 HOHO buses and ferries in Stockholm. They stopped at the cruise terminal--so we got on there...but where we wanted to get off was near the end of the 1 1/2 hr route, so we got off early and walked to another stop, cutting out part of the route. Disney also had shuttles into town somewhere--our original plan was to do that and then find a HOHO stop. We wanted to visit the Vasa Museum and Skansen (both on Djurgarden), and did the Vikingaliv museum as well as it was right there. All 3 of those were included in the pass. The ABBA museum was right there as well, but we didn't have enough time to do it, and it was going to cost more money. If you do it on your own, just be sure to leave plenty of time to get yourself back to port!
