Thought this was very interesting:
http://www.cnn.com/2003/HEALTH/diet.fitness/10/14/lowcarb.mystery.ap/index.html
The gist of the article is that there is evidence that people on low-carbohydrate diets can actually eat more than folks on standard lowfat plans and still lose weight
I'm still having trouble eating enough - yet avoiding carbs. Even cheese has carbs and I can't eat beef and chicken all day. I just finished dinner and find I've only consumed about 1000 calories today...Not at all hungry
b'fast: eggs, butter, bacon, tomato slice
lunch: celery,cream cheese, smoked salmon
dinner: turkey, tomato, mayo
slice of low-carb cheesecake
64 oz (plus some!) water
one can diet coke
1/2 hr walking
I usually have salad but since we're leaving for WDW tomorrow the fridge is nearly empty of perishables.
I've been on Atkins for about three weeks and have lost only 7 lbs .
PS I'm still on induction
