Excited! Thoughts/recommendations?

We've booked some new to us ADRs for our honeymoon trip in January and I'm super excited! I've been to Disney many times, but rarely eaten in the TS restaurants so have never been to any of these.

Saturday - DS - Homecomin' (5:10pm)
Sunday - MK - Skipper Canteen (1:00pm)
Monday - EP - Rose & Crown Chefs de France (5:40pm)
Tuesday - AK - Sana'a (5:10pm - hoping for a sunset view of the animals!)
Wednesday - HS - Sci-Fi Dine-In (12:35pm) (I read the burgers here are from the chef at D-Luxe in DS, is that true?)

Would love specific recommendations for any of these places!

We're not big drinkers but I'm intrigued by Rose & Crown's Snakebite or Cider & Blackcurrant...which would you choose?

Also, if we're lucky enough to score a boarding pass for ROTR, what happens if our boarding time coincides with our ADR?

I think Skipper is an underrated gem and has a great atmosphere. The chicken and the noodles
For Rose and Crown, request to sit out on the patio. The shepherds pie is good
Sanaa has one of our favorite menus on property. Everything, don't skip the bread service
I think the food is just okay at Sci-Fi, but the atmosphere is fun. Shakes and fried pickles

Check with the restaurant. They will work with you.

The Cider and Black is my favorite drink at the Rose and Crown!! You don't have to eat there to try it as you can just get one at the bar.

I wouldn't call it super sweet. More like smooth if that makes any sense.

We've eaten at both Rose & Crown and Chefs de France. I could really go either way. One thing we didn't like at Chefs de France was the close proximity of the seating, but in the current environment, I imagine they have tables distanced well so it might be a good time to go for that reason. In January, it may be too cold or uncomfortable to eat on the patio at Rose & Crown which is the best part. So for these reasons, I'd lean towards Chefs.

I personally would go with Chefs de France however I would check bc I think it may be Price fixed at the moment?

For Sanaa - what time does the sun set these days - i have lost all concept of time.
I'm asking because you may want to see if you can get a 4:30 or 4 instead - the view at Sanaa is amazing, the animals can come right up to the window. But you have to request a seat at the window. If it's too dark you'll miss out on the best part (and the food is amazing)

Also make sure you take some time to walk around the resort. It's beautiful and there are spots outside to animal watch as well. If you keep your time for the rez, you can always come to the resort early and walk around.

For Sci Fi - i am obsessed with that place. My husband thinks it's "ok" but I loved my food and the milkshake and the atmosphere it's all just so fun.

I don't have any experience with what happens if you get your Boarding Group call but I'm sure the restaurant would work with you.
There are also some decent options for quick service - ABC commissary changed their menu and it's pretty interesting/good and that way you don't have that pressure of a Boarding Group call.

When you get a boarding group, it gives you an estimate of how long to expect when your group is called. When your group is called, you have one hour to show up at the ride. Last week, I obtained a boarding group right at 10am (before the changes) and got boarding group 11, which estimated 45 minutes to be called. We had a 10:15am Oga's reservation and while we there, right around 10:30, they called our group. We finished our drinks and asked for the bill, and got to the ride around 11:10. So, we had enough time to work it out. If you think its going to interfere with your ADR check-in time, then I might suggest going to the restaurant first to see if they are willing to work with you.

Keep in mind, when you do go to ride, we still had probably a 25 minute wait in the queue and then the pre-shows and ride itself added roughly another 15 minutes.

Congratulations! I think that you have made some great choices.

Skipper Canteen - New for us this January also and we are looking forward to it.
Chef de France - my choice over Rose & Crown. They are both wonderful but Rose & Crown took away my beloved Guinness Stew years back so it has not been the same for me since then. I suggest the Filet or the Salmon ( depends on how you like it cooked).
Sanaa - Also new for us this January. Very excited for this restaurant. Everyone says the bread service is great. Look it up.
Sci-Fi Dine-In - We first went here on our honeymoon. I love the atmosphere and it is good if you stick with burgers & apps types
of foods & milkshakes.

Thank you! I did read a review since post-pandemic reopening that showed photos of the tables spaced out at Chefs. I had second thoughts about the outdoor patio weather at R&C in Jan too, which is part of why I made the switch

Yeah! I looked up the Prix Fixe menu and it looked like a decent value, all things considered. Usually we don't order or spend nearly that much when we're dining, but hey, honeymoon right? Lol.

As for Sana'a I looked up that the sunset should be at 5:45 or so, so I think/hope that arriving for a reservation at 5:10 will still leave some light to enjoy the views We are doing AK park that day, so I guess it depends how much we are able to accomplish (hoping for lower crowds!) that may impact how early we want to head over to AKL, which I have never seen before either.

Skipper is very good... The steak, chicken and pork dishes have all been good in the past. I'd skip dessert, as we have never had anything I'd recommend in our ventures. Just grab a Dole Whip next door. Ha
Chefs De France is a favorite of ours for classic French food. Boeuf Bourguignon or the Tenderloin are always good. The desserts are classic French and simple, but very good. The Escargot and French Onion Soup are both good.
We are not crazy about English food, so Rose and Crown isn't on our list of go to's when we are at Epcot. If I'm going to spend that kind of money on food, I'm not going to settle for something like shepherd's pie or fish and chips when I can have French food next door. That's just us, others have different taste. Ha
Sanaa -Ate there just last month. The Bread Service is what most people go to Sanaa for. The Butter Chicken is very good and we also had the Shrimp Biryani which isn't a typical Indian style, but was tasty none the less. The desserts were surprisingly exceptional although the Serradura was unusual. My wife had the Chocolate Mousse and it was very good as well.
Sci-Fi - Was a one and done for us, but we are over 40 and not huge hamburger eaters. It's a decent hamburger, but I'm not crazy about any burger at WDW. I would still recommend going as the theming is amazing if you are in the mood for a burgers and shake day.
