Exchanging Money at DLP

Can anyone tell me if you can exchange sterling anywhere at DLP - we are going tomorrow and have forgotten to get any Euros - if so what is the exchange rate like compared to changing money here?? we are travelling on eurostar so maybe there are exchange booths there? and staying at sequoia lodge - would they change cash at reception ???

If it helps there is a cash machine at the train station in DLRP which gave us the same exchange rate as M&S before we left which was the best on the high street - I was shocked but delighted as we needed more money on our last day!

Waterloo and Ashdford both have a Bureau de Change too. There used to be one in Disney Village but I didn't see it the last time we were there in summer.

I have no doubt the hotel would be able to change it but hotel rates are usually less favourable.

What brand of card was used? as I know some brands load the rate compared to say Nationwide which give you the actual interbank rate I think.

I know that the Hotel New York does currency exchange, which is close to the Sequioa Lodge. Have a great time.

On the same theme, can someone advise me if it's easy to exchange travellers cheques? Ive never used them myself but I'm wondering if it wouldn't be better to use them than carry cash or use cards with the extortionate fees my bank charges for using the card abroad

I know you can cash travellers cheques at City Hall and at hotels. So maybe they will exchange cash. SIL was not impressed with the rate used however since the exchange rate was low and also a commission charge was also taken.

I paid for our AP's using my switch card, and even after paying the commission (I think it was 2.5% commission) I ended up getting a slightly better exchange rate than the cash we converted at home - and we shopped around for the best rate. I have got a Nationwide credit card for next time we got to pay for as much as possible because the rate was better.

If you want to change cash, I am sure that the rate was better over there than here and you can change it at the City Hall or there is an exchange place under the Disneyland Hotel just before you buy your tickets.

I was in Going Places last week and they have a new card system where you buy currency which is added to this Visa Electron card which you then use abroad.

I've got a travel money card from the Post Office, you can get it in euros,dollars and sterling.
