We are planning on ‘seeing Mickey’ mid-October of 05. Have stayed at Vistana and Wesgate Villas – purchasing a time-share week from friends. Our friends have already planned on using their weeks…so, we do not know anyone that can ‘sell us’ a 2 bedroom with or with out a loft. Does anyone have a recommendation on an exchange or service that can offer us a time-share week at a reasonable price?

Thanks in advance for reading and offering your assistance……….k

There are a lot of choices in Orlando. You could rent points from a DVC owner and stay on property. Another choice would be to look at www.tug2.net. This is a website for timeshare owners. It includes a rent board, so you might be able to find exactly the location you prefer.

I own a week with Island one and my home property is liki tiki down on the west end of 192. This can also be exchanged with any of the other properties ( owned by Island one) in orlando. I know I won't be able to use my week this year and I am hoping to rent it. If you are interested let me know.

if you like to do auctions - then
www.skyauction.com
click on USA/Canada
then click on FLorida (to the right)
then click on hotels only (to the right)

You are looking for a min/max stay of 7 nights - remember to add the $195 + $15 before you start making bids

if you don't like auctions

www.condodirect.com

this II.

with both if you have the patience your best bid would be 90 to 60 days before hand - but I have a problem waiting that long myself.

there might be more choices on skyauction - and sometimes the condodirect will lower than prices at 60 day mark.

You can also go to the DVC rental/trade points and rent a DVC timeshare - these resorts are OKW, SSR, BWV, VWL, BCV.

if you have the money I would with VWL - but I certainly would not rent a 2-bedroom - Sun-thurs rental for a 2-bedroom should be $320 per night - you can get a 1-bedroom for $240 per night, and a Studio (sleeps 4) for $120 per
night - those rates are for VWL, BWV and BCV

okw is cheaper -2-bedroom $240 per night, 1-bedroom - $180, studio - $80 per night.

getting in a boat at the MK after MNSSHP is over - sure beats the other alternatives - this is only possible with VWL.

the other DVC resort you need to take their buses back.

the friend who owns at Westgate - see if he is a member of II (international Interval) or RCI - these are the big exchange companies for timeshares.

If he is a II member -you will just have to wait - they don't have alot of choices yet.

If he is a RCI member - see if you can't talk him into looking online at the Bonus Vacations/rentals - RCI has alot for Oct.

outstanding suggestions...thx soooo much for your interest and suggestions...k

I didn't see anyone suggest www.hotelkingdom.com , but we got a 2BR at Cypress Point Grand Villas for $85/night at Christmas last year. I would go through them again any time.

Another vote for skyauction. We spent a week at Orbit One Vacation Villas in November. We paid a total of $261 for the week. We had a beautiful and spacious 2-bedroom, 2-bath unit with all the amenities. I would highly recommend using them.
