Exchange II March - Exotic locations in Central America

Does anyone have any experience in booking/staying in Central America--Belize or Costa Rica. I am trying to quickly set something up for mid-March and am 1) wondering what my luck would be and 2)also wondering about the convenience/safety of getting to these resorts.

Has anyone every traveled to Central or South America anywhere? What were your experiences? Any comments on resorts that are close to airports? I want to try something new but am also afraid of not knowing where I am going/safety issues/how to get to resorts, etc.

Any good experiences to share?

I am also interested in Spain, Argentina, Brazil, Chile

Mostly would like a safe and fairly easy to get to location. Other than that, I'm open!!!

i've never stayed in a time share but i have been to belize 3x's and would highly recommend it... a very very safe and beautiful country... i believe that the belize exchange is captain morgan's which is on ambergris caye... really cool island... easy to get around (cute little golf carts) and really cheap to eat... tons of great snorkeling and diving... the only inconvient part is you have to take a puddle jumper from the mainland to the island and it cost $100us roundtrip
