Excess magic Bands??

Am I the only one accumulating excess magic bands?

Got our annual passes last year - they shipped us 5 Magic bands
Booked a stay at a Disney Resort shortly after - 5 more magic bands mailed
Just booked another stay at Fort Wilderness - just received 5 more bands.

What do I do with all of these things????

Excessive is definitely the word. I'm just holding on to the extras as back up. Because there's a good chance some will be lost at some point.

Tech support told me before our January trip that we can call them and ask that any given shipment be suppressed so they aren't sent and won't be at the resort.

As it is, because you are getting them in the mail, that means that you are verifying the address (and maybe customizing them). Don't verify and they will wait for you at the resort. Then you can refuse them and just not walk away with the box.

But calling tech support might be better.

I hope you're at least getting different colors!

I have an idea, maybe we should start mailing all these MB's back to Disney with a note asking that they either offer an "opt out program" so you won't receive new bands unless you request them OR request that Disney start a MB recycling program. Getting a new set everytime a stay is booked is such a waste.

I love all my bands. The doubles I decorate with glitter, nail polish to make them custom and yes I bring all of mine down when I go so that I can color match what I am wearing for the day!!!

We have 18 and there is only DW and I. Oh, two more are waiting to be shipped for our 2015 AP. I was told once, by the front desk, if you bring them in Disney will recycle them.
