EWR: Terminal A to C

Flying from Alb-Tpa next week, trying to plan out the transfers as I'm a nervous flyer. Looks like I'll be needing to switch terminals, I see there is a shuttle bus where I won't have to go through security.

Understanding that I would need to go through security again if I walked or took the train, how much longer would either of those options take compared to the shuttle?

I'd honestly rather do some walking than sitting and worrying, but my layover is only 60 minutes and am afraid that's not enough time. I have pre-check.

Newark Airport is huge and we've only flown direct so i can't speak as to terminal changes BUT if you take the shuttle bus and dont have to go through security again, that'll be your best bet especially if its an afternoon transfer.

I agree with @ErinsMommy . Also, there is no viable option to walk from Terminal A to Terminal C. EWR was my home terminal for a long time, and no way would I want to walk ground level outside between terminals. Also, I doubt 60 minutes is enough for a walking option. I've never needed to switch terminals, but if the option exists to stay airside and take a shuttle, take it.
