Okay - I must sadly admit that I become VERY claustrophobic when I am in a room crowded with people and the doorways and paths to the doors are jammed with people. So if my muster station is the Evolution Bar, should I arrive later to stand in the doorway? (Not later meaning I hold up the drill, but not early.) I would love to take a seat with my pregnant daughter, but I have visions of people swarming into the area and me getting frantic as my way out is blocked with standing people. So I guess I need to know just how crowded it gets in the bar during muster. Thanks in advance for any info you can give me. (I know this is my muster station for sure.) Ahh, if only I was normal!

I have had my Muster Station in the bar on both Dream and Fantasy. The area by the doors does seem to get crowded before the Muster drill begins because people are lined up. Once they open the doors, the line moves pretty quickly as people come in and get their ID scan and are seated. They do try really hard to seat everyone, and I don't recall very many people standing in the back of the bar. They also tried to leave the doorway pretty clear. I guess in your case, I would try to show up as close to the actual Muster drill as possible, and if you check-in ask if you can be seated towards the back of the room.

Maybe you could contact DCL about doing your drill in an alternate location. I believe they do that.....

OTOH, in the event of an emergency evacuation, those boats are going to be crowded. There isn't a "claustrophobic cruisers so we don't pack it" lifeboat. It would be something consider - yes, it is very unlikely, BUT if someone is that claustrophobic, is even putting oneself in the potential need for a space that WILL be small, crowded, and probably enclosed a good idea??

Thanks so much! It sounds like the wait to get into the bar area may be a little tense, but I can keep myself at the back of the line. Once they open the doors, if they try to seat everyone, then hopefully I will not have my panic kick in. If I am one of the last ones in, I can assess the situation and sit or stand near the door. (I hope!) I had the idea of going early and finding a seat, but from your explanation, the doors will be closed until the actual muster time. I thought about an alternate location, Princess Shmoo, but I am thinking this area could possibly be the least crowded and least hot. (Or so I am telling myself :rolleyes1 )

I haven’t had this muster station, but I just wanted to say I feel your pain. I’m claustrophobic, particularly when surrounded by people. Luckily for you your station in a restaurant where you can stay seated. On our cruise we were outside on deck 4 and the CMs make everyone out there line up and they kept yelling at us that we weren’t close enough to everyone. On top of that my 18 month old screamed the whole time, so it was a pretty miserable experience. I’m slightly tempted to base our next room selection on where we go for the muster drill.
