Everything is on the DIS

I had looked something up on google, then did a "the dis" search. Only I forgot to remove my other search and actually typed "the dis" onto the end of it.

Up came a DIS thread on that subject.

After I figured out what I did, I started doing it on purpose. Dharma and Greg. Rock garden. Ingrown toenail. Etc. Time after time, up came threads.

You can type just about anything into search, add "the dis" to the end of it and find a thread.

If you are extremely bored, you can.

I realize your point is that the breadth of topics discussed on "The DIS" is sweeping and I completely agree.

I'll offer a technical point. If you only want to search "The DIS" on Google, you can use "site:disboards.com" in the search. So a Google search for "site:disboards.com jcb" returns about 51,200 results in 0.28 seconds.

While this in theory duplicates the search function on "The DIS" I have found that "The DIS" search results do not always include recent posts and Google is incredibly faster. The above search, for example, returned a thread I started on 4/3/12 (about Duffy ).

(I put "The DIS" in quotes not to be snarky but just because I like putting it in quotes. Kind of like you would say, "The Queen" or "The Queen's Eggs" though I'm not too sure "The DIS" has eggs.)

And I'm not bored. I just needed a short diversion from work.
