called to get a rez at CSR for this week and told nothing was available. When asked what moderates did have rooms, none of them did! Only rooms available are a few suites at CSR or AKL, for $300 per night!

Is there some big event I don't know about going on this week? We ended up booking the Radisson Resort Parkway but really disappointed we won't be able to stay onsite :(

I just put in your dates on the online site and both CSR and CBR have availability for those dates. Pop Warner is going on that week.

My TA, Magical Memories Travel, has a group rate available for that time. I know because I am using it. You should try them.

Those are my exact vacation dates!! Sorry, not giving you my room at CSR! :) :)

Hi!

If I were you I will call again or search for availability online. Good Luck! :wizard:

Pop Warner football and cheerleaders. low DVC points, Mousefest, dismeets, RAPD meet, but it's a beautiful time to be there :goodvibes

Many of the room blocks are released 45 days out and some at 30 days out. I would keep trying as that timeframe is getting closer. Remember, also, cancellations need to be made 45 days out for some packages so that may open up rooms.

I also have the group rate booked through Magical Memories Travel. Not sure if they have any left but she had great rates. You should give them a try, perhaps they still have some of their block open.

If you really want to stay onsite, I would definitely keep trying back. Something will open up. The moderates are probably booked more than usual because of Pop Warner. I know they take up several in the POR and also the Allstars.

Hi!

I just checked, and pop centry and all star sports both had availability

For moderates, Coronado Springs and Caribbean had availability.

For Deluxe, AKL and even Wilderness lodge had availability! (I didn't check the other deluxes).

I would try again!

There's a possibility that we might be going during Pop Warner week (if my son's team wins! :cheer2: I guess it's a bit of wishful thinking on my part! :teeth:

So, I was doing a bit of research...

I did get availibility for those dates at CBR and CSR. I was really interested in trying Poly--but the WDW site only gave me SSR as a choice.
I tried a few other deluxes...and no availibility?? :confused3

My son would be staying with his team at either All Stars or POR. I'm not sure I want to stay at either place! I know...that sounds really bad doesn't it! :guilty:

Why would it more difficult to get a deluxe resort during Pop Warner week?

Anyone know?

Thanks in advance!

The weekend is hurting you, too. There is plenty of availability during the week. You might try to split your stay.

No offense, but most people know it's Pop Warner week and they avoid the AllStars like the plague. We didn't know that they were also going to be at POR until recently. Most people opt to stay in deluxes this time of year too because it's value season and they did come out with some pretty decent discounts. So, many reasons. I am at POR until 12/6 and then I check into the Poly, so I only have to deal with the kids for really 2 or 3 days.

Like you said, if you're not sure you want to stay with them (and you're a Mom!) you can understand everyone elses point of view. Kids are kids, but too many at one time can get a little crazy!

I just showed a standard view room available from Dec 4 - Dec 11 at Disney's Caribbean Beach resort for 2 adults, an 11 year old, and a 7 year old (I don't know if that's your breakdown - but 3 adult tickets and 1 child's ticket) for $1655.98.

Same package, without the package discount is available for Coronado Springs for $1970.88.

If you're looking for room only, I'm showing a standard room at Coronado Springs for $1195.36.

And actually, I would book the Caribbean Beach with the discount package! For your dates, with 1 day base tickets instead of 8 day hoppers - it works out to $975.73!!! Substantially less, AND, you can apply the value of those 1 day base tickets to more admission later if you'll be going back.

Check again!

I have been trying to upgrade for a week with no availability, and AKL just became available yesterday. When I called for a reservation, they told me that they had just released rooms thta had been being held for packages. Good luck!

Thanks for all the help.

We'll be staying at the Nick Hotel for the first 3 nights, then trying to get 12/7-12/11 onsite. I keep checking for those dates and only see suites available at CSR at $310 per night! I'd rather stay at a deluxe for that price.

I'll keep checking for cancellations, but in the meantime I've booked Radisson Resort Parkway as a backup. It's only $77 a night, and better than nothing I guess.
