EVERYONE - Please Indulge me and read

I saw this posted on someone's design request thread and I felt it needed it's own thread!!! Here it is..........

You know something? We get more and more creative as we see the work of other DISigners and are inspired to do good DISigns. And I believe we all get competitive, yet very supportive of each other, and that pushes us to learn more, search just one more place for the right graphic, and master a new technique. I would never have learned as much as I have about Photoshop Elements in a 6 month period without the inspiration of my fellow DISigners and the challenges presented by the DISers making requests.

I felt I needed to respond because of the loving, supportive, encouraging board that this is and because Marion is absolutely right!!!!!!!!!!!!

I came here just a few short months ago............ and I can see how much better I've gotten with my designs. It's because of all of you and how amazingly talented you all are........... I want to be as good!!!! I'm still in awe of how creative everyone here is. I feel like I've been embraced by the very best of the best and I'm so happy to "one" of you!!! Thank You for the support and for continuing to create such wonderful, amazing designs and for "pushing" me to get better --- I love it!!!

As for the "competitive" spirit here............ I totally embrace it......... it makes me want to be as good as others, it inspires me to be more creative, not to mention that I love seeing everyones perspective on the same topic.

I just wanted to give a big hug and show some support for all the DISigners here and also to say Thank You - you are all wonderful!!!!

I have been inspired by soooo many wonderful DISigners on this thread as well and they have always been eager and willing to help others learn how to be creative as well. I just hope someday I can be as talented. Thanks for all you do to help others in so many ways!!!

I started DISigning as a gal from PA who wanted to make an autograph book for her daughter. I used to peruse this board board thinking.............WOW these gals (and guys!) are incredible. One day last February I got really brave and posted a disign that I made to fill a request. DISigning and this board have been one of my happy places ever since!

I have made some wonderful friends from all around the country (and the world for that matter!). I have been so touched and honored creating things for people.
On Mother's Day, I had to work most of the day. We were running a promotion the previous day where were giving long stemmed roses to our jewelry customers. We had a bunch left over and the jewelry associate asked what she should do with them. I took them and gave one to EVERY associate that was working that day. Many of them asked "Why?" I respended that I just wanted them to smile at least once today. I LOVE making people smile!
I hope that everyday that I can continue to make at least one person on these Boards smile!!!!!!

Well, as possibly the most non-creative person on this board, I just love to browse the design topics and view everyone's work. I can't even draw a stick man and I am green with envy at the amount of creativity I see here. I have yet to see something "ugly" on this site!

This is a great board that I accidentally stumbled upon a couple of weeks ago. Guess what?? I can not count the times I log in to see all the wonderful and creative ideas all the DISigners have. It's a wonderful coomunity where everyone is willing to share their time and artistic abilities with so many people that you only "meet and talk" with on the disboards!

I have been following this board for just alittle over a year and I am still so Thankful for all the wonderful things the DISigners do for everyone for FREE!!! I know I spent hours going through each thread when I first found it and I still do a year later! I could not believe that these talented people were so generous as to just give their disigns away. Every day I am blown away by the awesome creativity and hours of effort put in by the designers here. From fabulous tshirt designs to unique autograph cards to journal pages to stroller tags - WOW!!! Sometimes I can't even believe that someone created it. How did they do that I wonder.

Thank you everyone for your inspirations, your skills, your patience and your love for Disney. You make our trips special!!!

I agree!! I've been hanging around here for a little over a year. At first I just liked to look and occasionally help someone out with a piece of clip art or other advice. Tried to stay away from DISinging as I knew I'd get addicted and really did not need a reason to spend more time on the computer. Well I'm addicted and really do enjoy it! It's a lot of fun making others happy and the skills I've learned while doing these is mind boggling!! I thought I knew a lot but I've learned so much more!! So thanks to everyone here for "sucking me in" . I have a feeling I'll be here for a while.

I found this board this time last year in preparation for our first trip to disneyworld and I was totally blown away buy the number of talented people who were just willing to share all their hard work and efforts with perfect strangers.

The run up to our trip was the best thing ever and it gave me so much pleasure making all the things I did from the talented designers here.

Sometimes I think that "Thank-you" just isn't enough for what you all do but I'm going to say it again anyway!

THANK-YOU from the bottom of my heart for all your hard work!

I love coming on even if its just for a quick nose at the new designs as they make me smile and that is a great way to start the day!

I echo what everyone else has posted! The designers are absolutely wonderful to devote so much of their time to give those of us that are creatively challenged a little extra magic for our trips!

My trip with DS last year was extra special because of all the wonderful comments we got on our shirts. I can't imagine a Disney trip without custom shirts!

I am amazed each day by the wonderful new designs! It is so hard to narrow them down to just a few for our upcoming trip!

I do not have the proper words to express my gratitude to ALL of the designers on here. You have lifted my spirits, filled my non-existance of creativety with incredible designs and filled all of my request with love, laughter, joy and most likely peace that you only receive from doing for others. Thank you all for making me feel like I have friends that I most likely will never meet face to face, but I know you in my heart. Yes, even once, I was given an awesome design by someone who thought my little niece would need it, and she hadn't even been asked. God bless you all. I have only been Disigning for abouth 9 months, but I know that it has been filled with smiles and new friends and I am a happier person as a result. The sheer amount of clever sayings, interesting techniques and use of color inspires me everyday! I hope to be filling requests for a long time and learning alot along the way

I'm always late to the show, but I wholeheartedly agree with everything said in the previous posts. I found this section of the boards last year just before our trip to Disneyworld, and we started by making t-shirts for our trip. My DH made his own design for our son's AK shirt and someone requested it from our pics so I started a thread. And here we are now. He's the real talent behind TMDART. But I guess we're kind of unique in that with us you get 2 for 1. I have really enjoyed all the friendships that have blossomed over this past 9 months. I'm proud to have all of you as friends.
