Everyone needs the DIS

On the May 8th cruise I was in line for Palo reservations and the guy behind me said "excuse me." I turned around and he wanted to know how in the world he can decide when to do Palo when they haven't even let him know what dining rooms he'll be eating in. I asked if he had his KTTW card and he showed it to me. I explained what PLAPLAP meant. Then he said "how do I know when formal night is?" (sigh) So I explained when formal night would be, when semi formal night would be, and when his scheduled character breakfast would be." He seemed stunned that *I* would know so much about *HIS* vacation. It was then my turn to make Palo reservations and he stood back there scratching his head looking at his KTTW card.

I did not specificially tell him about the DIS, but I did have my DIS shirt on. Hopefully he read it and will find us!

I just walked away after that and thought "THAT man needs the DIS!"

Is was nice being able to answer other peoples questions on board and I learned it all here. I think they thought I was some kind of nut knowing all of this info. LOL. - Mike

When we were on the 4/17 eastern, the other family at our table had never been on a DCL cruise, and asked us a lot of questions. I think they were pretty shocked at how much info we could provide. Several times they commented that what we had told them had been right on the mark. (Actually, I didn't really realize how much info I did know, until they started asking questions!)

They especially liked my suggestion that the chocolate lava cake was not to be missed!!

When we were on our cruise our table mates were surprised that we knew so much and had never cruised before. They had cruised several times and said it took them awhile to get the info we had gotten. I was proud to know what we knew and glad we did!

After reading everyone else's posts, I got to thinking about our situation. We were waiting in line to board, on our first cruise no less. A family behind us was asking DW a bunch of questions. She answered every question they threw at her. And we owe it all to this board. It made us sound like cruise veterans and we hadn't even been on one!!!!!!
