if one more person i know gets into club 33 before me i will scream. lol..
I know a total of 4 people now who have been there. and each and everyone of them doesnt even realize how prized and special it is to be there. :confused3 they all got in through a friend of a friend so asking the friend is normally out the question...i'm so sad! but happy for those who do get to go..

Aww! I'm a relatively new DISer, so I wasn't hip to the Club 33 thing until recently, but I can understand! A 21 year old intern at my job came up to me and told me she was going to DL for the first time with a family friend, said her friend could get her into some "cool restaurant". At first I thought maybe they were having dinner at BB, but no, she proceeded to tell me that her friend gets free admission, etc. and then I put it together that her friend had an individual membership to Club 33. This girl didn't even know the name of it! I told her what a big deal it was, and that I was a member on these boards and that it is a HUGE deal to get to go there for dinner, and she wasn't even impressed! I told her to take pictures so that I might post them on here, but she came back after the weekend empty-handed and said she didn't want to be embarrassed by taking pictures! I couldn't believe it, first time ever to DL and she has dinner at Club 33 and she wasn't even impressed! I'll likely never go..sigh!

:crazy2:

If I ever get to go, I will be taking pictures of EVERYTHING!!

I've only made it to the lobby on a tour. :sad2: The least they could have done was taken us up for lunch. :rotfl:

Your a step closer than me...I don't even know anyone that's been to Club 33.

I'm still waiting for my chance to go.
My half bro's brother & I think a friend of his got to go & was totally unappreciative & had no clue that it was so exclusive. My bro said his brother's friend even complained about the salad like he didn't even know what it was! OMG, if I knew who he was, I would've killed him.
The closest I've gotten too was the lobby from the WIWF tour. When I stepped inside the elevator, I should've pushed the button to go up! :lmao:

Oh, man! It's hard to hear about people getting to go who have no appreciation for what it is, when there is likely a boardful of folks here who'd be willing to donate a kidney to get in ;)

I have a friend who has gone many times, as his dad was a big time entertainer at DL for many years. He gets lifetime admission and his dad even had use of an apartment in DL. How cool is that??!! He has such wonderful stories to tell since he pretty much grew up at DL. You know, he doesn't even know what a DL fan I am because I didn't want him to think I was a groupie or anything

I haven't been to Club 33 .. neither has my Mama.

But i'm always happy when i hear a friend gets to go.:goodvibes

My dad got to go...which is probably the funniest thing ever to me, because out of everyone I know, he is the one who would appreciate it the least. He likes himself a nice big medium rare filet and a few glasses of red wine, which is what I believe he had there. However, he most enjoys things with my mom (they are together 24/7, work together, everything :lovestruc) and since it was a company business thing, only one person from each brokerage got to attend. I know my mom would have loved it that much more, but still, with a bunch of business "strangers," it can't be as enjoyable as it would be with family. Family like ME! I should write that company a letter...

So dad...how about handing over the business to me? I'll gladly go...:rotfl:

No you're not the only one.....I'd love to go but nope, not happening for us either. You'd think with the contacts I have with my company I'd know someone but no, no one can get me in......

I've never been either and I don't know anyone who has been. But I will cross my fingers that someday my turn comes. And yes, I too will take pictures and embarrass the heck out of anyone who is with me :)

I see a lot of ads online for condos to be rented that say they will made you a Club 33 reservation. Mostly in Laguna and Newport Beach. I am always afraid to book one though!

I got to eat lunch there once back in the early/mid 90's. I worked for a company that had a huge tie-in with Disney, with lots of branding in the park. Our whole department went for a "tie-in tour" so we knew everything that was going on, and DL treated us to lunch at Club 33. I'm an In 'n Out type of guy, but man, the food was great. Ate in the room with the Animatronic vulture and saw all the old Shure mics built into the chandeliers! Very fun.

I often wonder what corporate companies are members and how many of us work for them and don't know it...

My friend just got to go this past June. But at least she appreciated the experience!! She's also another poster here on the DIS. I think I would rip my hair out if more people I knew got in and didn't see the big deal.

Club 33 is still on my wish list. Hey, didn't someone say "Dreams do come true!"?princess:

My brother and sister in-law live in Long Beach. They called one day to tell me their 5 year old daughter got invited to a birthday party at Disneyland and the girls were eating lunch at Club 33! Are you kidding me??? Those kids would have been just as happy if not happier with a corn dog!!! They promised to bring me something from the club but I never saw anything, not even a photo. :confused3 So sad! :sad2: I guess I'll keep wishing!

A co-worker got in for his 50th birthday party from his tax guy. He took lots of pictures and talks about it all the time. He tried to get in again, but it was a no go. He was going to get me and DH in with him. Bummer!

Thank you all for sharing. I dont want to seem like im not happy for them but it does burn me up.. lol
