Another schedule change on my delta flight in August! We are going at the end of August. We are flying from Boston to Mco. I had to call to reconfirm our seats. The delta rep. said there have been several changes to June/July flights as well. Just FYI for all you DIS flying Delta! :rotfl2: :bounce:

Yep, Our flight from July 17-22 had changes today when I checked. I was able to get a seat closer to the front of the plane for one leg of our flight, and then able to get my exact seats back for the other leg. Nothing changed but the flight numbers.

Ooooooh they are driving me crazy! We are flying Delta end of June BOS to MCO & in Aug. BOS to MCO. They keep changing the smallest detail of our flts. sometimes it's the number, the time we depart, or the time we land. Every time they make a change I have to call & reconfirm my seats. I checked & sure enough they just changed again. I guess I will call in the morning. Thanks for the heads up!

That happened to us too! They changed our flight time by 1 minute...and it erased all of our seat assignments!! We have 5 in our group under 3 different Record Locators so it took a while to straighten it out. I feel sorry for their phone reps. They must constantly have to fix these things when surely it's a computer glitch somewhere! I now check all of them twice a day!! They completely cancelled a flight in June for a friend from work and they have 11 in their family going to Disney. They're in a "quandry" trying to decide what to do next because the only available flights that have 11 seats, don't have good flight times for them.

It's actually not a glitch. The system deliberately clears all seat assignments when there are such changes.

Well....I bet that drives their phone reps crazy!! Much more work for them!! And the people that don't watch their reservations get to the airport and get separated a lot, I bet!!!! There must be a reason for it, I'm assuming. But...those of us that know, just have to pay attention.

Tinkerbells mom,

Thanks for the heads up! Our flights out to SoCal in July were changed and I wasn't notified by Delta. They changed our flights so that we would have a 6 hour layover in Cincinnati. I called them and said no way was that going to work. Theychanged the flight so that we now have an hour between flights. I know that is cutting it close, but it's better than a 6 hour layover!

We fly out May 4th from Boston to MCO... we've had the flight booked for awhile. They've changed it on me 3 times... fully re-ticketed, etc. I've been checking almost daily now b/c there are three adults, a 2.5 yr old and 2 lap infants. If they were to change our seats, it would be a nightmare.

When I booked, they were still Song so it should be interesting to see what type of plane we get, etc. Good luck to all of you... I've had several painful phone calls with Delta (one lasted 2 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Jennifer, what time is your flight on the 4th? I am on the early morning one with friends. It is our annual girls only trip.

:thumbsup2 Thank you sooo much for sharing that. Our flight was changed completely with layovers and they did not even notify us!! When I called she put us back on our original flight but now they have different flight numbers!

Delta is now adjusting its schedules on a monthly basis. Some changes are just a minute or two differences, others are totally different flights or elimination of flights.

In many cases what they're doing is consolidating flights. While I'm not sure, it is possible that many of the one-minute time changes are deliberately intended to shake all the seat assignments free, so that both flights' passengers have the same chance at the now half-as-many seats available.

We are flying Delta in late June with a group of 10---booked under 3 separate reservation numbers because their stupid system wouldn't let me make more than 4 reservations at a time. Booked at the 330 day window and at that time we were the only passengers for the flights I booked. We remained the only passengers for several months. Our flight times have changed at least 5 times since booking and each time our seats are wiped out. Today when I called to get our seats rescheduled, there was no way to get any of us together on our homebound flight. There are 5 small children in our group (5 and under) and each is seated in a row by themselves with a stranger. The rep at Delta was totally unsympathetic when I told her this seating arrangement was unacceptable and said I would have to work it out with the desk at MCO when returning home. I wasn't impolite or nasty but she basically said "too bad" and ended the call once she had confirmed that each of us had a new seat.

This is getting very annoying. I booked my tickets in Feb for June/July vacation. After reading this board I started checking my reservations every Monday morning just to see if they're the same. I've caught three changes so far but called right away each time and kept our seats together. I checked this morning and everything was OK. After reading this tonight I checked again and I lost my seats going down. It was the same flight number and same departure time, but the arrival time was 9 minutes earlier. I called and once again was able to get my seats back.

I've been fortunate so far but this is ridiculous. I've got two months to go and I shouldn't have to check my reservation status twice a day. I can't imagine what would happen if my kids were seperated from us like tiffany123. My kids would be on the verge on hysteria - well probably not on the verge - I think we would have full fledged screaming and panic attacks.

This is absolutely the last time I make a reservation on Delta. I will never trust them again after this.

Kerry, we are on the 11:00 flight. It was 10-something when I first booked it on Song. It's changed so many times, I can't remember anymore!! If we're on the same flight... I hope my kids are good and quiet for you all!!;)

What flight are you on? If by change, you find out anything about the plane type, please let me know and I will def. do the same!!

Have a GREAT TIME with the girls!! :cool1:

Hello again all,

Question to all... how would you feel if a Delta rep told you that you were flying on an "old delta plane"? Hhhhhmmm... leaves me to wonder!?!?

The rep was able to confirm that my seat assignments, etc. had not changed at least since the last time they reticketed me. However, when I asked about having booked my flight with Song expecting a Song plane... she reviewed the flight info from her screen and told me that it was a Boeing 757 with 199 economy seats aboard... it appeared to be an "old delta plane".

Doesn't give me the warm and fuzzies!! Anyone else!?!?

It just means it doesn't have seat-back televisions. It's just as safe as the "new Delta planes".

The Atlanta-Indianapolis leg of our return flight in October had a slight time change and an equipment change. I had to re-set our seat assignements (on all flights!). I check our itinerary every day now!

Debbie

thanks for the heads up-I checked my flights tonight. No changes as of yet.
We leave May 21 on a non-stop flight so crossing fingers all goes well & we dont have to deal with any changes!
