There are some things in our lives that have nothing directly to do with Disney and yet completely remind us of Disney.

Here are a few of mine:

Jurassic Park
Rest Stops (we drive from Michigan each year)
Toll Roads
Crocs
Harry Potter (I know this one is really weird considering)
Oil of Olay ( we where it ever year on vacation)

Does anyone else have any NON Disney Disney Reminders

Well, kinda...in fact I told my DS to clean his room out this week to have a fresh start to the summer. He found his little mini rubber chicken and put it on top of my computer. I love it there now, it brings back the best memories from Disney. He's met Rosie a few times at DHS and has kind of "grown up" with her. The last time we were there, and met her, she gave him the mini rubber chicken, and it does bring back fond memories because we love her! :lovestruc

When I go to the Walgreen's across from a little BBQ place in the summer.
The mix of the smell of the BBQ ,heat and the smell of the hot concrete in the parking lot I feel like I am standing outside of the Flame Tree in Animal Kingdom!

Our suitcases in the corner of our basement. (If you open them, they still smell of soap, sunscreen, or whatever it was that made them smell when we went on our last trip!)

Franzia. (I bought it to drink on our last trip.)

A certain pair of pajama bottoms, and coordinating pajama top. (Also worn on our last trip!)

Harry Potter ALWAYS reminds me of disney.. haha

yep I have reminders all day long every day...a few of our dogs names:

Disney

Fantasia

Lily

Belle

Gilbert (from Goof Troop one of the nephews)

Here are a few more:

My daughter and I have matching nightgown that we wear every vacation
Purex laundry sheets
Travel toothbrushes
orange nail polish
the smell of garlic red skin potatoes roasting on the grill
rice krispie treats
Edy's ice cream

For some reason DS says that the smell of my moisturizing cream makes him think of EPCOT :rotfl:

Seeing trial sized items in the store

Drinking in-room coffee in any hotel room, DH and I love:cloud9: the coffee left in the rooms at Disney, and we compare all others to it. We'll be staying at a hotel this Friday night and DH already mentioned that the coffee won't be as good as Disney's!

Sunscreen.
It is Avon sport spray, and we always stand outside the room and spray each other down. So definately that smell!
Sunglasses.
I bought them at Disneyland 5 years ago!

Pictures that I have all over my house! And decorations!
My minivan-covered in Disney people window stickers and license plate cover!

Oooops, the last 2 are Disney related, sorry, didn't read properly!

For some really odd reason, I always think of Disney when I see Super Mario Brothers. Not sure why.

The old west and Westerns, such as the old Gunsmoke radio program they play on XM radio.
Certain things I do at work on the computer, couldn't tell you what or why but when I do them, such as opening up a certain totally non-Disney program, I automatically think of something specific about Disney World. I'm guessing that the first time I used that program or whatever it is that makes me think of it, was when I first came back from a Disney trip & was thinking of it when performing that function. But I really don't know.:confused3

Totally weird, but I think of Disney every time I use the bathrooms at work. The only thing I can figure out is that our bathrooms are so gross  that I have to "go to my happy place" in order to get through the ordeal. :rotfl: I tell myself that Disney is just right outside those doors, and in just a few more seconds, all will be well again. princess:

When I leave work at night the commons are are all lit up and it reminds me of main st. in MK. especially on a warm night.

Before every Disney trip, I always go to Bath & Body Works and pick out a new scent. I buy the shower gel and body lotion. I don't use it until I am at Disney and I use it for the duration of the trip. When I come home and smell it, it will always remind me of that particular trip. I just went to the mall tonight to pick my scent. I chose "white citrus" It is a nice clean, summer smell. Last year was coconut.

Also, DH and I were having dinner several months ago and everytime the hostess would walk by, I would get this very familiar scent. It was driving me crazy. Then I realized it was the exact smell that hits you when you walk into Old Port Royale at CBR. It was a very sweet smell and I loved it. I could kick myself for not asking her what she was wearing.

I understand a bathroom reminding you of Disney. Anytime I use a public bathroom that automatically flushes or sink that are motion sensored mentally I'm back in the magic kingdom

We have an outdoor mall here and they play music. Sometimes when I go there it makes me think of Downtown Disney. hehe!

It's also fun seeing Disney license plate holders/antenna toppers here. :thumbsup2

I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who's constantly reminded of Disneyland (or Disney World) by everyday, non-Disney things! :rotfl:

Some of my "reminders" are:

1950s "Googie" architecture...true, I wasn't around when Disneyland opened...BUT...I am old enough to remeber very well the "neon jungle" of motels & restaurants around it, before they were, for the most part, destroyed/remodeled/updated. Whenever I see that type of building or sign, I'm instantly reminded of childhood trips to the Park.

Someone else said "sunscreen", and I'm going to second that.

The smell of a heavily chlorinated swimming pool...reminds me of it's a small world, and of taking a swim break in the middle of a summer day at the Park. :lmao:

Pineapple juice...reminds me of the Dole stand by the Tiki Room...wonder how many thousands (if not millions) of $$$s Dole's sponsorship of the Tiki Room has made them? From all the people who buy cans of their pineapple juice after they get home & miss Disney?

The smell of gasoline reminds me of waiting in line for the Autopia...but I'm not about to go purposely inhaling it!

The song "Thriller" by Michael Jackson never fails to remind me of the Haunted Mansion, but that's understandable because Vincent Price did the "evil laughter" for both that song & the HM.

Fireworks...no matter where I see a fireworks show, I'm always reminded of watching the show at the Park.

There are more, but I can't go on all day
