Yes I've been in a live audience for The View and the Dennis Miller Show. It's fun. A 1-hr taping will take about 3 hrs total. The actual taping is of course only one hour, but there's a lot of waiting in line, going through security, the warm up guy, etc.

Heard that sitcoms are not so much fun. There is take after take, and you can expect to spend an entire day on a 30-min taping.

Love TV tapings.

I went to a Conan O'Brien taping in Feb and it was so much fun. It was a long process of standing in (multipe) lines and going through lots of security. But I gained a new repect for Conan. Oh, and was surprised most of all to learn that they really do take commercial breaks. Andy Garcia was the guest - nice.

Not quite the same, but on that day, we also visited Good Morning America and saw that gang and the Today show and Matt and Katie up close. Those 2 are about the size and shapes of little tiny statues.

If you can get to NYC, I'd recommend doing it. I understand that SNL is very hard to get tix to and not as much fun as you'd think. Many of the stages are hidden from the audience.

I'm trying for Letterman tix next. I've had them and been unable to use them. When you live closer to NYC as I do, you have to take and use whatever date they give you. That's seldom convenient as most tapings are weekday afternoons. If you come from way out of town, I believe you have more freedom picking your date.

Been to see Emeril Live, but that is the only studio audience I have been to. I am not in the cities that shoot them enough to be able to attend one...I'd love to do it more often, though! It is alot of fun!
