Just before I got one the ride waiting for the car I overheard 2 managers discussing the yeti on the ride. Now ik tht the yeti hasn't been seen or heard from since like 2010. But I can say it did move. I think they are testing the options of bringing it back as I have seen multiple managers and top people at tht ride today.

Considering it would take them physically removing a large portion of the mountain afraid to say the Yeti will not be moving until EE is due for a major refurb.

What you saw was an illusion using strobe lights.

No, it didn't move. It was an optical illusion due to the strobe light.

They also have fans blowing on the fur.

true. I really don't care much for it all I care about is how I usually throw up if i ride it multiple times in a day lol

When we rode it last week, I could have sworn it moved! But then, the lady next to me told me that it was because of lights. But at least the effect was there!

yea true. Anyone kno why it stopped moving

No one is 100% sure but the most accepted reason is that there is a safety issue with it being in A mode (foundation crack) so it was turned off so it doesn't fall on guests.

if it's a safety issue then y haven't they removed the yeti. That does nothing to solve the issue lol

It is only a safety thing if it is allowed to be in A mode which would cause further foundation cracking.

They haven't removed it for the simple fact they would have to shut the ride down for that for awhile.

anyway to make money thts wht they'll do lol

If you had ever seen it when it was alive, you wouldn't "think" it moved. That thing swung at you like an airplane flying low over the freeway... the only way to miss it would be to have been blind. It was like she was coming in for a high five.

That was the ride that made me love roller coasters. It was, in fact, too good for this world.
