My daughter does not like large drops on roller coasters. Does the Everest ride have any large drops? She thinks the Splash Mountain drop is too much.

Everest has one big drop. You can see it when you go over to the ride. It's a really great ride!! The hill going up is high and steep, but it doesnt result in a drop at the top. You do some really cool things inside the mountain, and then you come flying out of the mountain and down the hill. If she doesnt like the hill on Splash, she probably wont like this one either.

I also hate drops, but decided to ride it when I saw the drop outside the ride. The drop isn't a straight down drop, it has a curve that will take you right back into the mountain. I really didn't experience any of the gravity effects that I hate when I ride drop rides. Let her watch the ride for a while and then decide. I won't ride Splash Mountain either, 5 stories is a bit too much for me. I will also not ride TOT.

The drop is substantial...about 82', but it does twist to the left a bit so it isn't a straight down drop like at Splash. My dd, now close to 13, hates Splash Mt...she's done it about 4 times and has to be begged to ride it for a family photo op. But EE? She loves it...go figure. I'm not sure what the difference is for her. Perhaps the fact that you do have seat belts on with EE and Splash doesn't have them.
