I dunno, it just didn't do anything for us. We only went on once the whole trip. It wasn't that great IMHO.

We love Everest but don't really care much for the likes of Cinderellabration. That's why there is so much variety...something for everyone! :sunny:

Maybe you would have enjoyed it more if it wasn't for all the hype surrounding it?

I'm a bit worried I'll feel the same about that and Soarin'!

I dunno, it just didnt do anything for us. No problem, just found it worth noting.

I'm scared I will feel that way too. When something is talked up a lot, I'm usually disappointed. I like things more when we are happily surprised... (like when we went to see Pirates of the Caribbean 1 and I told dh that a movie based on a Disney ride will be lame - Surprise - we loved it - of course!)

My favorite part is the yeti I keep riding it just to get a good look at him. Creepy.

I thought it was going to be scary like Rockin' Rollercoaster... It was more like a step or two above BTM for us... Not saying it's a bad ride, but we only made time for it once our trip, too... and we had spent 2 1/2 days at AK!

I was expecting the hype to ruin the ride for me, but I found myself grinning ear-to-ear with the sheer joy of the ride! :thumbsup2 I rode it several times, and just loved it everytime. I am especially impressed with the fastpass - you go right to the front!

I have to say that it is best to ride in front!

Wow, it is so much better than when we rode it in Feb. during the soft opening. We just got back and rode it on Fridfay, you can actually see the yeti coming right at you now. I guess if you were looking for a high speed roller coaster, you were disapointed, but it is definately a much better ride since they made the changes.

I can't really decide how I feel about it. I hated the backwards part, it really made me dizzy and actually hurt my head. I felt sick for about half a day after it.
Other than that, I liked the ride. I liked the amount of imagination put into it, and the queue area was great. I think the best part was seeing the broken track, and seeing the Yeti ripping up the track. Unfortunately I never really saw the Yeti himself, as my eyes were closed!
I don't think I'd go on it again.

Me too....OMG I loved it so much...I can't wait until Jan to do it again!!

I loooooooove it but I do think it could've been a little longer and there could have been a little more yeti but other than that it is (IMHO) Disney's best coaster.

We also enjoyed it. It could have been longer but we loved the details that were in the ride.

I love it. It's my favorite now at the AK. I love Soarin', too which now competes with BTMR as my 1# favorite. Maybe some of the new rides were hyped a little too much. :confused3

DD and I (DH and DS don't do coasters bigger than BTMR) liked it, but I didn't think it was as good as Revenge of the Mummy up the road at the Evil Empire.

Someone on the rec.roller-coaster usenet group a few years ago coined an interesting term for that feeling you get when being disappointed by something you were really looking forward to - anticipointment. It's worse than plain ole disappointment because it was something you were really looking forward to!

Perhaps, it could be that your expectations were to high. :confused3 I loved it and am looking forward to doing it again!

I liked Everest a lot but I think Test Track is the worst ride in all of WDW. Not all the popular rides will appeal to everyone that's why they have so many. I'm glad you gave it a shot and enjoyed the rest of your trip. :)
