I was just curious what the dark part of the ride consisted of during Everest backwards section. :thumbsup2

SPOLILER SPOILER SPOILER

You just described it perfectly.

You go backwards and its dark.

The cars go down a hill and back up for that section.

Then you stop again in a lighted cavern for a bit.

Is it a big drop, like Splash? I always get a bit scared with big drops.

No. Not that fast or steep.

ALL of EE is very SMOOTH. I don't get that "roller coaster" feeling in my stomach like on many of the other coasters.

You have my personal money back guarantee* that you will LOVE a ride on EE!

Its a great attraction!

(* full refund of the cash you paid me to tell you this.) :goodvibes

I think its a bigger drop than splash mt, just not as steep. And it is fast--like RNR fast when going backwards. You feel a lot of G's going backwards.

The main drop is going forwards - you go fast backwards, but I don't think there is a real "drop" backwards at all. It is fast, but not nearly as fast as RNR - it may seem a little quicker b/c you were just going forwards.

As far as roller coasters, it is very smooth with only the one big drop that you can see from the front of the ride. I say that it is worth a try for everyone at least once to see for yourself!

I usually like these kind of rides, as long as they don't have a *huge* drop. Why am i so worried about this one? :confused3

Because its the "unknown" that we fear the most.

And because part of the thrill is going for the first time.

I wish I could go for the "first time" again on EE.

and...
Splash Mtn.
ToT
BTMRR
Space Mtn.
RnR
all the thrill rides were the "most thrilling" the first time.

Thanks Robo and everyone else. I'm not a fan of typical roller coasters. I don't do amusement type rides, but I've done everything at DL and DCA including California Screamin' which put a few knots in my stomach. As this will be my first time to WDW, I just want to be able to ride everything. :bounce:

California Screamin' is a GREAT ride.

It has the launch of RnR (but RnR is much rougher).

California Screamin' is very smooth like EE (but EE has no inversions).
