Does anyone know when Everest is opening in AK?

Any word that there will be a "soft opening" or early trial opening by Jan. '06? thats when we'll be there.

Danny,

There has been no offical word at all. The only thing I've seen has been on mouseplanet.com and that says (as mentioned above) that the rumored opening is in April.

Having said that, if it does open in April there will be a time period where it will be soft-opened, but it's too early to tell if January will fall in that window.

When we were there last week a CM that was talking to some of the crowd waiting for MK to open said that they had been told they would start doing CM trial runs in Jan. 06. Then he joked and said they always try things out on CM's first in case anything is wrong.

I am really hoping they will have soft openings the first part of February but we may end up being just a little too early. If they have a soft opening how will you know? Do you just stop by the ride and ask?

Hi Becka,

Just check the DIS boards before you go. If anyone has info on riding it as part of a soft opening I'm sure it will be posted here.

Also check the other usual sites like allearsnet.con and mouseplanet.com

EE is going to be awesome. Did everyone here see my post a few days ago about the photo of the new EE ride vehicle? Go to www.allears.net then to Theme Parks/AK/Attraction Seating photo gallery/EE and say "wow"!

Can't wait for this ride!!

Well, we will be there in 2 months and 1 week... I guess my chances of getting one of the first rides will be the one passing by to take a picture to add to this web site!!! huh?

They had started building this (barely) in '03, we saw it then but didn't know what was going on...

We went on Mission to Space and Mickey's Phil and one other ride in Sept '03 but they were not technically not open till that November....

Oh well... I guess we will give the update after our vaca!!
