I always wonder what Walt would think if he was alive today. He came from humble beginnings, had this incredible dream and today it is a massive and wonderful place for all to enjoy!
From amazing movies, merchandise, Disney Vacation Club, to everything in between....
I mean, you can virtually go into any store and see something with the word "Disney" on it. I wonder what he would think of it all. I like to think that he is looking down at his creation with a huge sense of pride and perhaps a tear in his eye...

If Walt were to some how "come back" I think he'd be pleasently suprised, and pretty well pissed.

I often wonder how Walt would feel about the costs of the resorts, parks food etc.

Well, I think about this all the time! And cause of my beliefs, I think he can still watch over WDW and see what is going on :)

I was just thinking about this today! I wonder if he ever thought that Disney would be the empire it is today? What an honor to have your name carried on in such a positive way :goodvibes .

i always wonder what EPCOT would have been like if the original plans had been carried out

I think Walt would be rather shocked that there are what he'd consider garish, economy hotels on his property. He was all about providing a deluxe hotel experience at WDW, and deliberately purchased enough land to keep the lower priced hotels miles away from his Magic Kingdom. I think he'd also be quite disappointed in rides like Tower of Terror, Expedition Everest, and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, since they go against his "whole family enjoy the rides together" principle. It's a good thing that Walt's not making the decisions these days, as we'd probably not have these affordable hotels and excellent attractions.

If Walt was alive today.................he'd be 105 years old!

Just a thought

I thought of this exact topic last night! DS and I were cuddled up watching vintage Disney cartoons. Susie the Blue Coupe, Peter and the Wolf, The Brave Tailor etc. The manner in which the narrator spoke, the storyline, and the sweet innocence made me nostalgic. These old cartoons make the new stuff look garish, deliberately "dumbed down", and a little hardened. What would Walt think of our current animated features?
