Ever seen any deals for Nov/Dec?

You can look up all the historical offers on Mousesavers.com. There was free dining offered various dates in Nov and Dec 2008 for Disney Visa card holders. There were also AP and FL resident discounts, too. I think there may have been some discounts for the bordering southern states (not sure if it was Nov and Dec)

I am asking for a friend. She doesn't want to be there over a holiday but wants to see the decorations.

We used a code last year for the weekend and first part of Thanksgiving week. I figured out I paid $91/night for POR and save around $315 for five nights over what rack rate on the Disney site for our vacation was listed at. What I did was subscribed to the November code watch last year and new the morning the code was released, then called my AAA agent that I was booked through and she changed my ressie within an hour. The only thing is we were originally booked at POFQ and had to change to POR. No big deal, even got my request for the building I wanted to be in. Good Luck:thumbsup2

If she doesn't find any deals she's eligible for, the end of Nov/ first week of Dec may be her best bet. Last year we arrived the Sat after Thanksgiving, and stayed through the next week. From Sunday night forward we were in "value" season, so the rates were the lowest they get when you don't have another code or deal. I think the higher "holiday" season rates pick up a bit later in Dec, as the crowds pick up.

And the Christmas decorations were worth the trip!! We visited all the deluxe resorts, plus Yacht & Beach Clubs. Super fun!! Happy planning!

We went Nov 2007 and there was a package discount offered for the fall(sorry, don't remember the %), but it was a significant savings. I think I spent $700 less than what I was about to spend!:woohoo: If you go to mousesavers.com, it tells you when former discounts have been released in the past.:thumbsup2
