Ever order from Ikea?

I am looking at new furniture, particularly a new bed and bedroom stuff. I found Ikea online after a friend mentioned it. Their stuff looks nice to me, and quite inexpensive, too. I realize a lot of it you have to assemble yourself, which is okay by me. But I am curious if the quality is okay on these items, or is it questionable? Anyone ever order from them?

We have a house full of IKEA stuff. Most of the stuff is great. It is really inexpensive and we always find exactly what we need for the the spot in question.

We have moved several times and that is the only drawback. If you take *some* (not all) of the stuff apart over and over, it doesn't like it. (Screws stripping, etc) But for the most part, we have been VERY happy with what we've got and until we have tons of money we don't want to spend "big furniture store" prices.

All of our beds are from there, lots of storage stuff.... wardrobes, shelving, kitchen table and chairs, kids dressers. We've had a couple of dresser drawers fail (bottoms fall out) but it can be tracked to kids STUFFING their clothes into the drawer to make it close. Jeff has always been able to fix it though.

Overall I would say we are very happy with our stuff!

I haven't ordered from the website, but I have three within a two hour drive. My whole bedroom set (well, all 5 dressers and night stand), Bookshelves, CD cabinets and now the DVD cabinets are from them. Oh yeah, the boys beds are from there as well.

Quality is fine. If it holds up to my kids, it can hold up to anything. Hubby bought the bookshelves the first week Ikea was on Long Island years ago. They've been through 4 moves and held up great.

If you want to get an idea of what goes into their stuff, Discovery has been showing a program on Ikea quite a bit lately. Funny thing is that now we want a chair they showed in development!

Once I move to Florida, I'll probably have to go the mail order route with them!

I'm on my way back to them on Thursday...our DVD's have over run the storage. It was a box set Christmas here! Fortunately, there's one on the way to the airport and I'll be headed there to pick up DH and son then.

I love IKEA. In fact I have something from IKEA in every room of my house including the garden shed!! When I was collecting things for my house before I got married I twice went to the IKEA store with my mum and had to phone my dad to come with the other car as I could not fit everything into mine!! Fortunately they only lived 20 minutes away!!

I've never ordered from there, but I've ordered furniture from Overstock.Com recently and we are very happy with the quality and the prices are great! We also got our bedroom set from Linensource.com and Brylane Home has some great things too.
I'll have to go check out Ikea!
