Ever "kill off" a celebrity?

Did you ever think that a famous person was dead, and it turns out they are not? lol
I thought Jack Klugman was dead but he is not. I think I was mixing him up with Tony Randall, the other "Odd Couple" guy, who IS dead!

I had the opposite happen too. Sometimes I forget who is dead until I am reminded!

I was listening to WNEW FM one night and they played one of her songs and I swore I heard them say about the late Stevie Nicks. Freaked me out. I'm also suprised with how many times I hear about a celeb dying and I thought they were already dead.

I find myself saying "He's/She's still alive? I thought he/she was dead," more and more often. I thought Jim Nabors (Gomer Pyle) was dead. I was shocked to discover he was very much alive when I saw an interview just a couple of months ago!

Hate to tell you this, but I think that's a sign of getting old.

My dad (86) has been doing this for about 25 years. He loves to watch old movies and will spend the entire time saying "He's dead, she's dead."

Long before the internet my dad kept up with the "dead" people via almanacs. When my nephew was 5-6 he always referred to "Grandpa's Dead Books".
