Ever have issues not getting items from Amazon?

OK, so I don't think it is an Amazon issue, but I have 2 shipments that are still listed as "In Transit" on my Amazon Account, tho the tracking info shows it arrived in our city the first week of December.
I have a friend who works at the USPS & I showed him a printout of the tracking info. It shows it going thru Fed Ex sites in various cities (even tho it says shipper is USPS), and he said the last line that shows it was scanned in our city doesn't match how they would show it if they scanned it. He said I would need to contact FedEx.
WOW--anyone else have this happen? Ever resolved?
(it is just 2 movies I paid $10 total for plus 2 iTouch chargers for $40--I first thought they had been swiped from our porch; it isn't major, but I hate to lose ANY money...may not be worth the time & hassle this could take!!)
Thanks!

I've been shopping at amazon.com for years and never had any shipping issues until this year. I didn't received two packages, but amazon sent a replacement for one item overnight, and the other item was back ordered so they gave me a full refund.

Like PP, never any issues until this past month. In that time, 2 problems. One was an order that was promised, never shipped, then cancelled. The other was an order that just mysteriously disappeared from my account after being backordered for a month. I kept checking it and it never showed up on my orders page. I figured it was cancelled like the other one. One day it just showed up on my doorstep and there was NO shipping info on Amazon, no tracking info, nothing!

I had one from a third party endor that I paid for second day air shipping and it took six days to get here (arrived while we were at Disney and it was a new strap for my camera). Contacted seller asking for a refund on the $20 shipping fee for second day, they were very nonchalant, oh I see you got it, blah blah blah. I contacted Amazon and they refunded the shipping right away, then approached UPS about recouping the shipping charges.

We had an iPod touch never show up, the shipping details were very confusing and didn't make sense so I called Amazon and they were good about shipping another one out, this happened last year

My last two Amazon shipments have been preceded by an email saying there was a failed delivery attempt by the post office. I have a PO box, so that's just silly. Despite the emails, the items were at the post office.

I have been ordering from Amazon for years also without problems.

I received all my items, but did have some funky tracking info. One said it was in transit but not in my state for over a week then one day just showed up.

My last 3 orders disappeared from my info on amazon so I couldn't use Amazon to track it. I had to go to my confirmation email where I was able to track but again didn't give me up to date info and once again just showed up on my steps. I have never not received what I ordered.

I have had no problem with shipments from Amazon directly, but have been lost when they use Fedex/USPS delivery..

Definately follow up - I have had one issue and it was resovled quickly.

An item I orderd that originaly said delivery by 12/21 changed when I got the email to 1/12 ? I emailed and they sent the same item via another vendor at the same price and it arrived 2 days early. I recieved the original item yesterday as well, called them about processing the return and the advised me to keep it as well.

FedEx won't talk to you. They will only talk to the shipper. Stupid, I know, but that's the way it's done. You need to contact Amazon, who will take care of it from there.

It sounds like they used one of the services where FedEx or UPS handles it part of the way, then they hand off to the USPS for the final stages of delivery. I hate those services, because the USPS is just so flakey on when the scan the packages - or should I say IF they scan the packages. And you never really have a clue just when the package will show up - once the USPS has it, it could be delivered today, maybe tomorrow, maybe weeks from now!

I once had a package from Amazon stolen. They used a funky local delivery service (one of Amazon's major shipping warehouses is not far from me) who just left it on the front porch, for all the world to see. I figured out it had been stolen from the tracking info, called Amazon, and they next-dayed me a new order. Their customer service was WONDERFUL about it all - it was painless.

I had the same issue lately. I ordered some printer ink with 2 day shipping.

I just got it yesterday, 15 days late. It got held up for almost 2 weeks in PA for some odd reason.

It's the sort of delivery that starts with fedex, then is delivered to a local post office, and then the PO is supposed to deliver it.

If it's been there for, what, 3 weeks?, why haven't you contacted amazon yet??? They'll have their own way of dealing with the missing package, since it will probably eventually show up at your place or back at the fulfilment center, but in the meantime you could have had your items for a couple weeks, once it had gone beyond the time expected for delivery.

I've had a couple of "issues" over the years...

There was a Disney book I ordered last year. It was marked as shipped and I got the package ontime, but when I opened it, it was a bunch of travel things for some foreign country that looked like free promotional stuff. The invoice even showed what was supposed to be in the box. I emailed them and had the correct item in another day or two.

I ordered a bunch of books last year for Christmas presents and an extra book that I hadn't ordered was in my box.

Occassionally, I get pre-ordered new releases a day or two before their actual release date.

Now, I guess the first one is really the only true "issue"....but they all should count as "abnormalities" at least. ;)

Definitely contact Amazon right away. They are awesome about this type of thing and you will find yourself highly satisfied by their customer service. I use Amazon as much as possible, they really are great at customer service!
