Ever have cereal for dinner?

I have class on Tuesday nights and am always too tired to cook.

Usually I do a crock pot thing, but tonight, it is cocoa puffs.

I feel like such a bad mom!

I ran out to get a last minute dinner from POPEYE'S...when you think of all the fries I got for the kids too, ....nutrition wise--your Cocoa Puff dinner might have beaten our dinner!

And BTW, I don't think we've ever had cereal for dinner, but...frozen pancakes, yes!

OMG ~ If it wasn't for cereal my DS would have starved to death years ago. He has it 3 meals a day sometimes.

Don't feel bad about it, your kids are fed, what's there to feel guilty about? And I'm sure they loved it. You could make every Tuesday cereal night and they'd be thrilled. Give them a banana or yogurt to go with it and call it a night!

occassionally DH & DS16 will actually have a dinner of cereal!
I mean they want to have cereal
I should add, DH, working his way thru college, was a cook in a decent restaurant & DS, presently works in a restauraunt kitchen--
Years ago, when DMom was visiting, we were having pancakes & eggs for dinner, well, she was aghast!
We only did that when we were poor! she blurted out
But Mom, we like breakfast for dinner, we just laughed & so did she

You're not a bad Mom, just a busy, concerned Mom!
It would be very nice if we all made 3 meals a day (from scratch), had immaculate homes, were stunning beauties & practicing tax accountant/pediatricians, but life happens
they'll look back & know Mom is a concerned, busy parent

Cereal, pancakes, frozen waffles... who cares? Doesn't make any of us bad moms. IHOP and diners serve breakfast all day. Why not mom's kitchen. Don't feel bad -- starving them makes you a bad mom -- not cereal.

I had it tonight. I used to work until 10pm and not get home until 11. Cheerios was my dinner each night. If it is good for you at 9am why not 9pm?

My kids eat whatever they can find on any given day! I work more than I am home, they eat cereal and pop tarts and sometimes nothing at all.

Sparx, I want to know what a fluffernutter is. It sounds like something with marshmallow and peanut butter.

I used to love having cereal for dinner back when I was single! I think it kept me slimmer, too. We do have breakfast a lot for dinner. The other night we had scrambled eggs with sausage in flour tortillas. Even my finicky DD1 ate hers - and she often only has oranges and crackers for her meals (don't ask )...
