Ever had your trusted recipe go wrong?

I tried to make a really simple creamy pasta sauce for lunch today. I make it all the time and BF and I love it.
Today however, it went totally wrong. I didn't do anything different to the recipe at all, it just didn't work. It was so gross I had to throw it away and make something else!

Ever had this happen - when a really trusty, easy recipe goes totally wrong for no apparent reason?

I would be more shocked if a recipe went right.

Sorry your lunch wasn't what you wanted. i despise it when I have my heart set on something to eat only to have it dissapointing or have to eat something else.

Yes. I was battling pie shells on Thanksgiving day. I usually don't have problems with them.
