Hi there. My husband and I are booked for a weekend get-a-way in February. This will be our first trip to the vero beach resort and I would absolutly love to get a massage while I'm on my mini vacation. I've heard that the resort doesn't have a spa but that they have a fitness area where you can also have massages. I'm wondering if it is worth it to get a message there or if I should schedule one at another salon/spa in the area.

I've been to the spa at the Grand Floridian and Saratoga Springs, I know that this will be alittle different, but is it still a nice area, clean, etc....? I just have this vision of walking through a weight room into a little closet type space and getting a massage.....lol

Any advise would really help. Thanks!

I know my DSis had one. I've sent your question to her, but I think she thought it was fine. I know she also showed up for yoga class once, and she was the only one!

first - i bet youd get more replies if you fix the title!!! The massages are given in rooms by the bath house, never had one there, but heard they were very good!!!

This is what my DSis says:

I think Shirley and I both had massages there and that we enjoyed them but my recollection is that they were in rooms adjacent to the club house and it was “noisy” but clean and comfortable. I think they could be disappointed if they compared it to the Grand Floridian. I’d recommend getting one off site if possible. And, if after this couple has one on their mini-vacation I’d like to hear about it, especially if they could recommend another place in the area were we could schedule for June.

So, here my DSis would like some info from you...if you do go off site.

Yes, I did have one in 06. It was same as any other I've had. It was in a room down the hallway from the main lobble. You had to jump the rope to get there.

The 1st time I had a massage at Vero was several yesrs ago and it was in a room by the pool. We were at Vero last June and the massage room was housed in the main building on the second floor...I was told this was a temporary spot...not sure where they are now! The massage was excellent and I think it was only around $60.00

In 2006, Spring, I had one in a small room by the pool. It was okay - about $60, I think. During the first week of this month, we were at VB, and my son and his gf each had massages which they said were wonderful. 50 minutes for $85. They were in the area past that part of the lobby where the computer is located, past all those pictures of the DVC resorts. The doors to that part of the building have always been closed when I was there, but they are now open and a few rooms are used for massages and on past, there is a DVC sales area. If you are looking at the INN from the beach side, these rooms are first floor to the right. I hope this is clear. To me, this is nicer than having a massage in that small room by the pool. The masseuse was an older guy that they said was really good. HTH!
