I am allergic to Tylenol in all forms. Back in the 70's all over the counter had aspirin as the pain killer. When 'Contact' switched to Tylenol, I got the chills and my temp actually reached 106.4. They were getting ready to put me in an ice bath and the headache, I thought my head was going to split in two. They sent me to x-ray and it was on the 7th floor. WE went to the 16th flr and down to the 7th, my stomach emptied and the temp and headache went to allmost nothing.
In the 70's Tylenol was the wonder drug of now and the future. The doctors did not believe me and I had more than one doctor prescribe it and tell me I was wrong. One dr stood there and chewed me out for even mentioning it.
Needless to say, I throughly double checked every drug I was given before I took it.
Nowadays the doctors acknowledge that there can be a reaction to the drug.
Three to five % of the population has a reaction to it. Definitely not a lot of people. Most doctors have never met someone allergic to Tylenol.
