Ever get off a phone call and ask yourself...

why did I answer that?

One little phone call, that I usually don't answer just made my life living heck!

I can think of a number of times this has happened to me. It either makes the day so much harder (people wanting to change carpools around, asking favors, etc.) or brings drama, family, kids, or other.

With almost everyone using cell phones, caller ID isn't what it used to be.
I need to ban answering my phone.
I'm sure I can't feel alone...:)

OMG, YES!

I nearly had a meltdown a few weeks ago over phone calls. I was getting over 10 calls a day from certain family members. Nobody ever calling to chat or say hi. Nobody ever calling to see how I was doing. It was always wanting to complain, criticize or ask me to do something for somebody else. The sound of my phone ringing was beginning to drive me over the edge.

So one day, I forwarded all my calls to voicemail, left it in my bedroom and just avoided it altogether. I left it like that for a day and a half. It felt great, although I was still worried I was just putting off the inevitable when I finally did answer the phone.

Oh yeah, I did put something on my FB status about it driving me insane, so I think some of my family members may have gotten the hint. I've been relatively call free for a while. (knock on wood)
