Ever get a bad haircut?

hasn't everyone at one time or another? :confused3

I've had several (some self-induced) but the worst was my first perm. My mom took me to this lady who had a salon in the basement of her house. Mom was trying to get me a nice, stylish, easy-to-care-for haircut for my freshman year of high school. I went to school looking like Little Orphan Annie. That killed any chance of being one of the popular kids right there. Unfortunately, that did not deter me from getting future perms. I have been perm-free since 1992 though.

Once when we were dead broke and barely married I saw a sign for something like 5 dollar haircuts so I talked my husband into going in there.
It turned out to be a guy with a flobee and a bad case of the shakes from DTs. My husband came out with chunks of his hair missing in differnt spots. It took a month to grow out to where he could go get a proper haircut. :rotfl: I think he still gets mad at me when I bring that up.

They have this hair show in the convention center once a year where stylists come to learn new techniques to cut hair. They are always looking for hair models.

When I was just out of college (in the mid 90's), I was broke and needed my hair cut. It was long and down my back. I volunteered to be a hair model thinking I'd get a little bit of a change and it would be free.

They cut ALL my long hair off....except for a few wisps around my neck. It was AWFUL. I looked like a black Carol Brady :sad2:

ohhh it is illegal to cut hair w/o a license. I went to cosmetology school and I'm only allowed to cut family members that live in my house. Legally...that is. It didn't pay enough so I work in telecommunications now... but it was fun!

Not only did I get a REAL BAD haircut, when I said told the stylist...She insisted it was due to my 'irregular shaped scalp'!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl2:

My DM has been doing my hair for 40 years so YES i've had many a bad cuts from her experimenting on MENS cuts ( yes the Mullet with permed locks in the 80's was in it's coming back trust me).

We have lived above the Shop now for some years have to cut through it to get to the Kitchen .

Well as she works long hours with little pay I try to let my hair go until it's just a mess but sometimes (if she doesn't have a late or Sat cancel ) it's late and her eyes are going a bit. So my bangs will be off or she will not finish shaving ( I'm a razor trimmer set on a 1 or 2 now) .

So I just say thanks and fix it myself the next day. I just can't do the back of my head by myself or shave my neck .Not that in a pinch I haven't just shaved everything.

But it's funny She 'll see it the next day sometimes and say Where did you get that bad cut.

ask him :confused3

I think the correct question is, have I ever had a GOOD haircut?

ROFL! I know just what you mean.

it's 50/50 on whether it'll be good. The most recent one didn't seem all that great (I don't like it), but apparently, she listened to the "I'm allergic to blow dryers" speech. Every time I let my hair air dry and leave it down, I get complements on the 'new' cut. It has been this way for over a month.

I have really long hair and one time I had it cut up to my shoulders. It looked pretty bad. People looked at me and said in a horrified voice "Where did your hair go?!"

Oh god yes.

Right after Top Gun came out, a lot of the girls in my class were getting those loose 'body wave' perms like Kelly McGillis had in the movie. I wanted that done too, but my mom sent me to my grandmother's hair dresser. She did the perm very tightly and I ended up looking like a poodle for 6 months until it grew out.

all my bad hair left so i dont have to have it cut anymore. and i never cut the good ones anyway.

Most of my life. I found this stylist a few years ago and I finally let her cut my hair off. I've loved it every since. It used to be pretty long, it's around my shoulders these days.
