Ever fly in a SMALL plane?

DH and I flew over the Atlantic coastline on a trip once. Just a little 4 seater tour type thing. I was not scared at all. Might be now! :bitelip:

As other people said.... "I'd be a little chicken but NO BATHROOMS!!!!!!" :earseek:

A couple of times from San Juan to get over to the BVIs. Mostly 8 or 6 seaters. I actually don't mind the little planes as much as a commercial jet. (guess I'm freaky that way)

Long time ago, as a teen I think, with a couple of my buddies. I was :scratchin when the pilot asked what my weight was.

Well, that's that.
If Mare's anything like me, I ain;t going to tell the pilot of anyone else how much I weigh!!!! :rotfl2:

I went in VA when I was 7yo. Thouht it was cool then. And once again, when I was a senior in HS --I went up then with mom's boss. He flew me to greenville SC to visit my sister (who lived there then). it was wonderful and we went out to lunch and flew home all in a days time with no fatigue form the trip.

I have no idea if i would go over the GC or not though. I would, however, fly to WDW with almost anyone who'd offer!!! :teeth:

I'm guessing this is some pretty pricey real estate:

You can get close enough to actually spot sharks and stingrays in the water:

Thank You Kathy. You are right great seeing the keys from the air. :)

I've done two helicopter tours -- Hawaii and St. Thomas. Both were amazing. But I don't think I'd be able to handle a small plane.

My FIL used to be a private pilot and had his own 4-seater plane (a couple different ones over the years) and I went up with him many, many times. We still maintain the runway on our farm, as friends have planes and land here sometimes. I always enjoyed going up with him, was never scared. If it's your time to die you're gonna die whether you're on a plane, crossing the street, driving your car, or sleeping in your own bed.

I used to be terrified to fly but now spend time on this site: www.takingflight.us and their message board: www.takingflight.us/forums . If you are nervous about flying, check it out. They have commercial pilots, general aviation pilots and frequent flyers that can answer your questions or reassure you about your flight.

:)

About 5 or 6 years ago the daycare my kids used to go to had a Fall Festival and there was a drawing for a ride in a 4 seater.. I actually won it, so me and my 2 older kids got to see Christmas lights from the air.. it was cool but a little scary as it was the first time we had ever been in one..

yes my dad wanted me to get my pilot's license before my driver's license. When I was 15, I had a flying lesson. 4 seater plane. Just me and the pilot teacher. Was a 45 min or so lesson. Freaked me out when he gave me the controls. (obviously he had his own set of controls.) I did not like the idea of being in control like that. I never took a lesson again.
