I do think my husband would drop kick me if I did but dog gone it they are better then the bottoms!

Elaine on Seinfeld tried to make a business out of this, but no one would take the stumps, not even homeless shelters. I believe the name of her store was "Top of the muffin to you!"

I like the stumps better than the tops, but DH like's the tops so it evens out for us....

LOL I watched that epi sometime in the last week Sad I know. Perhaps that is what made me think of it or the fact hubby got big muffins from Costco.
Either way I am about to go get one of the chocky chip ones. Last time I bought them they got eaten before I could blink and of course the CC ones went first

I think that I once saw a baking dish that was very shallow adn was to be used for making muffin tops only!! Wish I would have bought it then because I have no idea where I saw it!!

Always. that is why I love buying them from Panera Bread. they only sell the tops of the muffins, they call them muffies. They're the best.

I swear I saw this too... I thought I was dreaming, apparently not LOL. Although didn't Elaine say they have to be made with the bottoms. If you made them w/o the bottoms they just were not AS good. You had to get that twist affect down?

Wow ~ who knew you could buy a pan to make just the muffin tops! I have to get this.

Oh, and I saw that Seinfeld episode about Elaine's business just the other day too. I laugh at every single Seinfeld episode. That was a great show.

I actually had a muffin business some years ago and bought one of these to make just the top because that's all the people really wanted... and it was BEFORE the Seinfeld episode because I remember everyone telling me about it in the morning.

I haven't made them in FOREVER because it was so time consuming!

I'm glad you remembered the ! at the end of the name. That was a big part of the show. Elaine did not like the ! because she thought it was like screaming the name TOP OF THE MUFFIN TO YOU!
