Ever done a clinical trial?

I'm wondering how your experience was. I was contacted by our local Walgreens about a Phase 3 clinical trial Moderna's recruiting for regarding a potential vaccination for norovirus. I go Friday for the screening, and if I'm accepted (well, it's a mutual decision), the pay sounded excellent. But what about long term side effects? What questions should I ask Friday? Did anyone here ever do one? Or been offered but chose not to? If you opted out, why? And if you did participate, how was it?
By the way, I don't really know if the fact that it's "Phase 3 has significance, but they seemed to think it might. I tried to read about it on clinicaltrials.gov, but all that medical talk made it more confusing.

I participated in one many years ago for allergy medicine. I know a couple of people that got their covid vaccine early as part of the trials.

I would read up on the trial, but would likely participate. I would love if there were a norovirus vaccine. Would make cruising less stressful!

What are they offering for pay? I think I got maybe $50 or $100 for my allergy medicine trial, but that was 25+ years ago.

I was on the Novavax Covid vaccine trial and had a good experience. I also work on clinical trials and we are grateful that patients choose to be on trials. Phase 3 means that they are most likely doing a pivotal trial (or getting close to doing one) which will make or break the vaccine.

Warts...I can't remember how I signed up... but cash and boxes of bandaids...no idea if I had the placebo
