Ever do a layover at VGC?

We're going to Hawaii in March and were thinking of doing a 1 night layover at VGC. Just wondering if anyone else has done this and how the experience was.

Never done it, but if you're laying over from LAX, that could be really frustrating. Although it doesn't look that far, traffic can be a nightmare.

If you're coming through long beach or orange county, that might not be so bad.

I think that is a fabulous idea because your flight is incredibly long. It's funny that we have talked of doing the same, except in reverse! Coming from California, we have discussed stopping in Orlando before flying to Europe. VGC would be a fabulous way to experience the parks and a tropical paradise all in one vacation!
