Just a thought for us right now, however wanted to share w/you all for anyone else interested, &/or your thoughts? I love the doll & bear shop in Germany & have always wanted to let girls fashion their own unique baby to bring home! princess: princess:

I didn't know about these - sounds like something my little girl would love. Any idea how much they cost?

These are wonderful my dd saved her $$ and had one done two years ago, it was about $130.00. However it isn't a "play with me" doll imho more of a display dall. Although its on her shelf and she does play with it a little not to the extent that the AG girl dolls are played with.

The dolls are from Engle puppen and they have a nice website if you want more information and pricing.

If your only going to buy one I recommend the AG dolls, my dd's got them several years ago and still play with them - my 9yo daily and my 11yo less often now. They love the books and acting out some of the stories with the dolls and dressing them in the clothing of the period they lived in as well as in today's fashions. Although the dolls and the clothing are pricey (IMHO) they hold up extremely well even with rough play vs the non AG stuff I have purchased that fits the dolls.

Happy shopping

We purchased one for our daughter almost 9 years ago, if I recall correctly.
It was beautiful and captured her face/hair to the tee. We purchased one of the soft standing types.
I don't regret spending the $$ on it. She's 14 and still loves it.
