Ever buy pins you don't like?

Or pins of characters or movies youdon't like? Whil I am mostly a collector vs a trader I find myself thinking I should pick atleast one of the Fab5 or a princess or a villain to make my collection more "complete". Lanyard pins are another thing I have a hard time not buying.

I find myself eyeing Goofy pins even though I find him really annoying or princess pins even though I don't particulary care for them.

Should I just stick with the couple of characters I have or branch out. Do you collect a particular character just because they make good traders?

I was really hoping to get out of this but since my last trip find myself more obsessed than ever!

Nope, no way. I only buy pins I really like, which means I also don't buy pins of characters I do like if I think the pin itself is ugly. The one or two times I tried to predict traders, I ended up stuck with them. So unless your sure you have someone to trade with, stick pretty much with pins you like as well. I think it is $ enough just to get the ones I like.





PS---unless you are absolutely sure it is a good trader, everyone needs a few good traders.

I agree. Unless you know it's a good trader, if you don't like it, don't buy it! It costs too much as it is. You can always buy an extra here and there of the ones you do like as traders. Someone will eventually trade you for it, even if you only take pins to the parks.

Speaking as a true addict -- YES.
But I am not as bad as I USE to be. Which isn't saying a whole lot.

I have lots of pins that don't mean a whole lot to me. Some are characters I don't even care about. But after I get tired of having them packed away, I often trade for something I do really like.

I spend most of my money on pins I don't like.

I'm always trying to predict what traders will get me the pins I do like, so I now have a book filled with Lilo & Stitch pins, and I'm thinking of branching into villians too.

It wasn't so bad when I just bought Tink pins as traders....because she's <i>almost</i> a princess, and that's what I collect. But now I even have a <i>cat</i> pin in my trader book! I don't even like <i>real</i> cats.

What is worse is when your family buys pins because they think you'll want them.

when my local "Character Premier" store has them on sale, yes. Otherwise, no.
